Hay gang thought I would throw my hat in the ring for this campaign aswell as all the others I am doing! I am going to do a humvee troop carrier in 1/72 and finished in a nice simple desert camo job.

I have started the Dragon 1/35 Sd.Kfz.7, 8t Half-Track, Initial Production. The chassis is complete. I intend to paint it in DAK colors and expose the engine compartment using the Griffon Model PE Update Set.

Hi Guys,
As I was putting the finishing touches on my Tiger @ the Tiger campaign I started cutting and gluing my 6X6. Most of the build is finished and here is what it was looking like before I shot it with some primer. Need to make some straps holding on the 2nd jerry can on either side

This will be as typical with me OOB. But it has an engine so I may make it with the hood up Since this is a non-fighting campaign am I allowed to mound the M-1 Grand Rifles on either side of the cab

Sal, you can mount the M1 Garands since they are infantry weapons. By the rules, you can not mount an MG on the truck for example, but infantry weapons belong to the infantry rather than the vehicle itself... so they are okay.

@ Warren - have I told you you're too fast? Nice one! I do hope you are planing to build some more for this campaign

@ Sal - very nice progress! And as Emre said (thanks Emre) weapons are allowed as long as they're not mounted.

@ Scott - you are moving fast as well... How do you guys find time for all this building/painting/posting?

A.

Sal, I think you got some dirt on your truck...
I'm still here, waiting for the kit to arrive. I always order through my local hobby shop, to give them my business and save myself the shipping costs, but this time it's backfiring, since they aren't finding the Academy M151A1 with howitzer kit that I can see at Scalehobbyist.com that could have been here in only a few days. Again, I want to modify that kit into an M718 ambulance.
Eight months to go in this campaign, so no worries yet. Besides, I've got 4 other campaigns ending earlier.
Cheers all,
-Sean.

Welp finally decided I go way out of my comfort zone of modern stuff and do Tamiya's German 3T cargo truck. Looks like a fun build, OOB, now just got to wait till it gets here!

Hello Andrzej

I've got a question... I've been looking at the campaign and thinking I would like to jump in,

I got a little kit that is non-fighting, it contains a small ford tractor used to tow several types of trailers. and a Lift Truck.. which carry the ordnance out to the aircraft.

Would this fit into this campaign? and would having any ordnance on the trailers violate the rules of the campaign?

Iaters..

Hi Delbert,

As the second-in-command of the campaign, the answer to your question is no, your truck does not violate the rules. The main thing is that the vehicle should not have weapons that allow it to fight on its own. Since your ordnance truck can not go berserk and start throwing bombs around, it is perfectly eligible for the campaign! You can have as many ordnance as you want.

Build that kit and join us!

More progress on the Dragon 1/35 Sd Kfz 7. The engineering and fit are fantastic.

Just enlisted. I will be building this, OOB:

mainly because if it weren't for this campaign, I'd probably never build it. Should be getting started on it relatively soon, and complete well before the end date as the kit is, by today's standards, very simple.

Hi Guys,
Touched up the weathering and added some more cargo and I think I'm finished except for a final dull coat.

I'm still waiting at the starting line here. I had intended to use Academy's M151A1 with the 105mm kit for this build, but it was just discontinued and the local hobby shop can't find it. I'm changing gears to get the simpler (cheesier?) old Tamiya one instead. If I'm kitbashing the body, I have less to lose with the cheaper kit, and hopefully I can fix it up some in the process.
You guys are making some good work, setting the bar high for a late-comer. I should get going soon though. Still plenty of time before September.
thanks
Sean.
