Cheers

I've done the location for the Phillips radio. I didn't open the door, just detailed the outside and modified the radio box. E-mail me for photos [email protected]

I don't know how I missed this build! Absolutely outstanding work as ever Al. It's inspired me to do a similar thing!

Yo Alan,
You did two of them...whow!
Nice job...nice dusting overall. I like the detail with the wheel on the side...of the car.
And a nice home made stowage on the second one.
Nice figies yours are mutch sharper, better than my Master box set
Keep up!
Greetz Nico

Hi Nico,
Many thanks for the comments. Both were very enjoyable builds. I spent 3/4 years collecting up the bits which you can now get in one set with the Resicast options .
I need to make a base for them at some point and probably add a little more wear and tear to the body work. As the old Tamiya kit is now available again I'll probably do a couple of early armed versions using the Resicast sets at some point.
With space always at a premium I had thought about using the Great North Road base which kinda stacks them but wasn't sure how that might look with 2 stationary vehicles.
Enjoyed your build, cool work.
Cheers

Due to all the rain over Christmas I have been assembling a few of the Tamiya LRDG trucks. Starting with the radio truck I have been trying to sort out the actual radio fit and found these pictures in 'The Kiwi Scorpions' by Brendan O'Carroll which I did not find on the thread so post as they may assist in answering a few of the questions on this subject that have been posted before.
The first, while fitted to a Ford F30 shows both radios.
The next two show the side mounting location for both radios on Chevs.
So far I've made progress on a radio truck, Brenda truck and body of what will become a fitters truck.
