Hello everyone!
I have decided to enlist, as when it comes to myself the number of unfinished models outnumbers by far the number of the finished ones. That will be my first build log, as well as first campaign on Armorama, so please do not be too harsh on me
To boost the chance of actually finishing the model I have decided to go on with something small for a start: BA-64B from Vision Models. I have started it during my summer holidays and it was sitting on a shelf ever since.
This is how it looks like right now:

Some parts are still sitting safely on the sprues (do not have the photo of them though, I will post it if necessary).
I hope that it qualifies for the campaign!
Cheers.

Hi Marcin,
You are so not alone in having more unfinished kits than finished ones. I think I've only got 3 or 4 kits that I can truly call finished, but probably thirty or forty (or more ) unfinished builds. I'm also fairly new to campaigns, to date I've only taken part in the Braille Battlefield, and guess what, I haven't finished my entries yet (1/72 PzH 2000 and Faun Elefant tank transporter). So far my experience is that people are pretty supportive, so don't worry too much about harsh criticism, just look forward to the opportunity of sharing photos of a completed kit that you're proud of (for me I'm proud of anything I finish just because it's such a rare event).

Happy modelling,
Cheers

Hey all! This is going to be my entry (possibly get one more in too). It's an AFV Club 251/1 Ausf.C started nearly two years ago. College and LIFE got in the way. Anywho, this is where I am at as of now. I will hopefully pair it in a mini-convoy setting with an already built kublewagon and perhaps some other vehicles.

Cheers!

Thanks Bob. Yeah, books, hockey memorabilia, and other random odds and ends clutter the hell out of my desk.

This is my work area right now: INSANITY!!!!

haha and I have made some progress on the track! The top has been secured to the lower hull and the interior has been washed a bit. Now I need to construct the fenders, fix the broken sway-bar and decide on either using the rubber tracks or AM plastic ones I have... Then weathering!

Sal, I would love to talk to you about those barrels. I could use them just the way they are.

Sal: I think they are just regular cautionary signs like you see on modern work trucks.

Nice progress everyone.

I've actually put myself further behind then when I started. I decided I didn't like the way my old Tiger I was put together, so I'm just going to do one over again to go with the SU-122 (I'm happy with it).

@ Sal, thanks for the invitation but the meds dont mix with spirits as for the barrels I want those on your truck they dont need any help from the paint bottle. All I would need to do is install them on my vehicle as is . Oh! I am really a transplanted TEXAN and not by choice.

@ Greg: nice looking kit and it comes with a knife also (just kidding) what put you off of finishing the Tiger. And welcome aboard.

@Bob - I have tried to bend the fenders in places with a flame and they turned into bent blobs. Also the paint had airbubbles which is fixable but the Blobs is what got to me Bob. (from page 4 I think). Practice makes improvements

also @ Mike - I like your idea and build so far

@ Sal - the opel blitz is my favorite truck. You are doing what the troops would do by getting supplies from wherever they can.

Greg, I use an old Wellar soldering iron. It does many jobs, holes, heat for fenders, and just about anything that you can come up with.

Something that may be cool just to try out would be to apply a whitewash over your Opel Sal. It would be a great platform to try out any technique you've thought about, and you can just say the windows are frosted/iced

@ Sal
1. nice job on cleaning up the bench after such a long time.
2. I like Jeremy's idea. You could put a tarp over the bed and ship the cargo to me
3. Do not forget to post a photo in the gallery.

Hey Bob, thanks for reminding me about the gallery post almost forgot, is 1 photo enough. No Trap cargo stays where it is and the Pepsi will be on me

@ Jeremy, yeah that a good idea maybe try the hairspray method for the 1st time then give it a whitewash for a Battle of the Bulge build Maybe went the active campaigns die down

@ Sal: just one (1) photo in the gallery. Shucks on the cargo

@ Jeremy: that was a great tutorial, I will have to try it since my hairspray did not turn out anyt thing that looked like a winter white wash.

Just joined in...
I have a half-finished Tiger from Dragon, among others that would be available. I'll get the others for the Getting done part II, III, IV....

Will post some pics of the half build kit soon.
So far I still have the turret , tracks and hul tool to finish.
