Hi Folks,
My word this is a busy campaign, as I have just started I shall have to say a general congratulations on the standard of the builds here. I hope I can contribute to the campaign constructively and to start I am going to build the Mirage Vickers light tank B, in Polish service. I am a Braille Scale modeller and I hope to get a few builds done over the year, as I think we Braillers are better served for light tanks than the larger scales...especially now Dragon have produced the Japanese light tanks.
Anyway here is my start photo:
I have sourced a photo-etch set for the tracks and will post a photo of those when I get them.
That's it for now, I will post my progress as the model is built.
All the best,
Paul

Gentlemen I shall be participating on this campaign with the most famous M3 Stuart of all time - The 'Haunted Tank' from G.I. Combat comics
The light tank shall be flying the Dixie Flag just as in the comics series we all loved to read when we were kids
The only thing I cannot promise is the appearance of its ghostly guardian Gen J.E.B. Stuart

Now that I'm done my Panther G for the Panther campaign, (believe or not, I really am done, I'm just not very diligent with uploading pictures) I've started my 38t for this campaign!
As for the crew issue, I found one of the kits Jack recommended a few weeks back when I first uploaded pics of my unbuilt kit. The Miniart figures will probably be used for a 251 or a 250. I've gotten to attaching the rear plate to the hull and finishing the suspension bits along with some other small parts for today.
I've also figured something out about the DML instructions and their lack of explanation regarding options. For their 38t kit, the instructions are showing the build for an Ausf. F, so all the options for different versions (ie. options for different roadwheels or different exhaust pipes) are for the Ausf F and are listed as the first options, with the options listed second for the Ausf E. Of course, it may just seem like this to me from my lack of knowledge regarding specific variants, but I'm pretty sure that I'm right, if only for this kit.
I hope this helps and that someone can support or at least disprove my theory and come up with a replacement.
Cheers,
Mark

This week's update on my Braille Pzkw-1 build:
1) Decided to use the Link-n-Length Pzkw-1 tracks from an Italeri/ESCI kit:
2) Started with other sub-assemblies. Will be using spare MGs that I found from my spare parts stash:

Well, here's the pic of my kit and stuff.
Yes, seems a lot for a little Aufklungspanzer 38(t), but plan to go all out, dress it up, add an interior and some "educated guess" items. Maybe bit off more than I can chew, but should enjoy the eating.
Good building, David

John, any idea why the pics, above, are just thumbnails?
Here's the link to the kit and associated stuff:

That last one was close. All that is missing are the [ img ] BBcode tags.
This thread has tips on posting pics.

I'll be picking up my Bronco Chaffee this weekend. Probably won't really start the build till about April.

The intention was to build an Academy M3 Honey and a Vulcan Mk IVB at the same time, both as vehicles used by the 2nd NZ Div Cav Regt.
But I got carried away adding a bit extra detail
cheers

Is that one ever on my modeling bucket list.
Apparently they restarted the series a couple years ago.

David: Wow! Interior looking very nice!
Are the wheels from Tamiya kit? Are they significantly better?
I have an M3A3 from AFV wich I may build for this campaign if I manage to finish some other projects in time.
But I'm also hooked to earlier M3s. And yours tempts me to buy Academy kit.
Nice builds everyone! Interesting campaign! Keep up the good work!

Many thanks for the comments, Anthony & Jaroslaw. Since the interior of the kit is based on a mid/late M3A1 with turret basket, I planned to make a few changes to make it look a bit like a M3. I got carried away.
Yes the wheels and the idler assembly are from the Tamiya kit, the detail on them is better than the Academy ones. But when I get around to the putting the track on, I will use the Academy ones (J11 & J12) as they are better than the Tamiya ones.
Many thanks,
David

Lots of nice work going on in here. Keep it up fellas!
Got the base color sprayed on this week end. I’m using Model Master Enamels on this one, so progress might slow down a little as I wait for layers to harden. Next up is to do some detail painting, and then spray on a clear coat in preparation for the decals.

Finally I got some time on the bench this afternoon:
A slow start on my Panzer II
Started with the turret, Tamyia's seat and idler & sprocket wheels.

Hi everyone;
I finally was able to start on the M3 Stuart. I assembled the AFV Supension and applied it to the Academy lower hull. Should be able to make more progress tommorrow as my Mk III Valentine II for the Allied Armor Campaign is almost finished.
