There have been no developments as far as being able to get to the campaign proposal, so try submitting the proposal again. I just submitted a test proposal and I can select it.

Oh and also i have changed what i am going to build ... mainly due to the fact the first one i wanted to build will cost to much .. I am an invalid after all ... so i am going to build a weapon i friend of mine saw in Somalia ,,Ural 4320 with a D-30 122mm gun on its back ,, he told me that the guns power had killed the truck ..rear suspension has broken and the deck badly warped ..has to be from the recoil but i am going in this direction ..its before it broke its back ,,oh the chassis was snapped too well not snapped ..cracked 3/4 the way thru ..so mines gonna be before all that .this is gonna be cool

I'm with Zon. I'll model the intent but not follow any specific photo. My current strategy will be to find a cheap 4x4 kit (Land Rover or Jeep) and try to create a stripped/wrecked Mitsubishi body for it. My strategies tend to change a lot though.

hi
Phil a d30 sounds like a neavy load for a ural to carry on its load bed never mind trying to fire one from it. no wonder it broke its back, a Somali SPG sounds interesting build though.
thought id post these links to a couple of Libyan technicals, not my builds just to give some ideas.
OK they are not dushkas but i like it

Hey Peter ... ya know after reading your post it got me thinking ..so i did a little bit of research and i was surprised at what i found out .
The Ural wouldn't have a problem carrying that gun as its max load is 6,000 kg (13,200 lb) and the D-30 only weights in at 3,210 kg (7,055 lbs) ..so the weight ain't a issue ..but the recoil tho
Had a look on you tube and oh when this thing fires she's got a bloody good kick .so least i know it can be carried
Would be funny as hell to watch it fire lol

Hey Phil
thats some good research, i would never have guessed that it could handle the weight but like you say the recoil forces would surely cause a few issues,
It does lead to another question , how many Somalis does it take to get one on to the back of the ural cant see there being many cranes for hire in Mogadishu.
Peter

Edit PS thats got to take the price for the heaviest armed technical unless some one comes up with one carrying a 155mm

LOL Peter ,,now that would be hard core mounting a 155 on a Ural ..would be ever harder core watching them fire it and then running as it tries to bury itself into the ground
Now according to my mate Dean they mounted the gun by pulling it onto the deck with ramps and then mounting the gun to the deck by cutting the legs and welding them to the deck sides with steel plate ..called him today for more info ,, he thought it strange that the wheels were still mounted but a contact of his confirmed it and now i am gonna build it
Fact i already made a start last night ... impatient or what ?
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Built-1-35-Libiyan-Toyota-Pick-up-truck-Twin-Dhuska-/200641758681 ,,, man they stuffed the add up .. those are ZU-23-2 and thats a overload in itself ..the bugger weights 0.95 tonnes (2,094 lbs) unloaded ( I think )
