I've only seen the white NATO vehicles in the 4X4, not the 6 wheeler but maybe I wasn't searching it correctly.

Hey Jeff,

I think im looking at the wrong type transport. This is not the same VAB is it? Or is just similar?

http://www.thegunwiki.org/thegunwiki/File:Panser_un_2.JPG

Anyways, I like the two tone better. Was just curious.

Gary it's not a VAB, but an Indonesian Anoa APC, simular to the VAB somewhat.

From what I can gather is the 6x6 version is mostly sold as export while the French tend to use the 4x4 version more. here are some example of the 6x6 for Jeff fot ideas.

Yep, a Panser Anoa 6x6 APC made by PT Pindad an Indonesian state-owned defence company is very hard to tell them apart.

I might as well round up some UN decals and pretend it IS the Anoa!

Then I can paint it all white too!

I should have selected the German Boxer for my choice as I did not know I would run into so many problems (and expense) getting AM tires for my beast.

I did locate an in-country supplier but need to see of they still have them. Ordering from Blast and forced into buying 2 for the 4X4 would be over $55!! A local dealer has the 6 piece part for $36 plus shipping.

If not I'll be forced to use the toy-like parts in the box because the kit was only about $29.99!

Hey Jeff if you want I have an extra set of wheels you can have.........it's only 4 tires but a good starting point. When I ordered my stuff from blast, some how I ordered an extra set that I do not need. You would just need one more set for your vab.

Academy do a coupla versions. Maybe not as accurate as the Tamiya but a lot cheaper. This was my first vehicle, and I really enjoyed the build.

Hi guys

I am impressed with the variety of APC/AFVs that are waiting to be built. I, for one have recently bagged myself a bargain on Ebay, and therefore decided not to build my Tamiya's M577 as originally planned. Here is my entry for this campaign; AFV Club's LVTP5A1 with CMK's "Merry Christmas" which was used in Vietnam in 1965

Speaking of the 'rules', the "Any country, any markings"... so it doesn't have to historically correct, it could be a special gift to a country with their markings?

I want to use a countries markings AND there is no photographic support of it, all because the kits decals are severely lacking ( air raid! ) and I decided against using them on another vehicle... mainly because of needing extra parts.

Oh, this will be interesting to see the ruling on this one for I (little ole me) does not believe it is an Armoured Personnel Carrier or a Armoured Fighting Vehicle.

Well for 1 it is Armoured and 2 it was meant to carry troops that were there to protect convoys and ensure safety of their railway tracks
If not I will find something else in the stash, just looking to get away from the norm
