Thinking about new projects and Campaigns, and why not a Big Cats Campaign Mk II ?
Plenty of subjects, various periods (WWII, Cold War, modern..), tanks, planes...
It should be fun... again.
What do you guys think ?

This is very attempting proposal. I've got several Tigers and Panthers in my stash waiting and it seems, I wont have time to take part in ongoing "Panther campaign". I'll just wait more info about timetable for this.

Just to add, the ROK K2 goes by the Black Panther name. I don't know of any kits of that tank though.
What about the Iraqi IM-1 Lions? There's an old article about them in an issue of Military Modeler (May 1994). These were basically five M1s that were gifted to Iraq after Iran-Contra went public. They were to be converted for integration in the Iraqui forces with the addition of Soviet features such as a 125mm main gun.
Would the Iraqi Lion work for this campaign?

Hi John,
just how small can a big cat be? I´d like to do a Bundeswehr Ozelot.
The real cat is little bigger than a house cat, is that ok?

John, The Scale Modeler Magazine article on the IM-1 doesn't have any listed references...or even a real photo of the vehicle. The article says that there are few documents and photos of the vehicles...given how they were acquired that's understandable. They were basically hush money.
Two were converted from M1s to IM-1s. They lacked parts for proper training and maintenance and were relegated to the tank park.
It's a neat twist to the Abrams Family. I've had it on my "to-do" list since I first saw it in the magazine. I'm going to keep looking for references but if you think there'll be any issues to doing this one I can completely understand.

John, remove the Iraqi M1 from the list. It's fake. It would have been nice if they had mentioned that in the magazine.
