I have not done anything in the last week

but after reading some posts in this thread about the suspension arms being too low I thought I would do something about it, I hope you like my solution.
Also, I ran into a scout leader that said he had some 1/35 kits that were donated they were going to throw away. I said I could come and get them and I got two huge boxes with about 50 kits and a ton of tracks. That included 4 sets of Armour Models T-55 track.
Cheers Rob.

Your Turrets are next, so far great work on those SKIF's, not easy to work on.

Hey gents, good to see the work motoring along.
Just wanted to say that Photobucket are being really unhelpful and have blocked all my pics until some point in the next month due to me apparently using up too much bandwidth on my account. I have made moves so that it shouldn't be a problem in the future but I may be stuck with it for the next couple of weeks. Hopefully can get posting again before the deadline.....

Rob i hope that works for you mate, mind the weight though so that the plastic wont bend, those things look heavy!
John looking good there. You are near the end. (I admire your effort. So many campaigns plus the forum... you are my hero!

).
KoSprueOne all three look great. Especially if someone thinks how much work goes into these kits to look decent. Good job.
Some more work was done. The turret took a lot of work with some scratchbuilt additions. I tried to do my best but i'm not experienced with these kind of things so if you think it is a lousy job just say it.

(T 55s are a mess concerning standarization, every pic even from the same army, or even unit, shows you tanks that vary a lot in their details!) Next will be the reconstruction of the TC's cupola. (that one will be a real pain ...

). Back to work now, so i can meet the deadline!!!

My work.

KoSprueOne stick in there mate all are looking great
John (nito74) no need to sweat yet, you still have couple of weeks
James I managed to get a glimpse of your work on PB itself, but I know what you mean with them being a$$holes.
I had the same problem once,

that is why I changed to Flickr
John (jkb) all I can say is "wow" my friend
Alas I have a sad note, Mecanix has had to drop out of the campaign due to life being a bummer. It's a shame we shall not see the scratched SU122-54 on this one, I hope he'll get done on part 2.
Get well soon Paddy

Tried a different way of doing the decals instead of a clear coat I just brushed some Future on where the decals went, seems to have worked just fine.
Cheers Rob.

John now that is looking absolutely fantastic

. Now just rough her up a bit
Rob I also tried that method but I always had problems
getting the excess gloss to totally disappear

.
When I use decals now I get them off the carrier and apply tamiya gloss to the back of them, and then stick 'em in place.
Here's my Frankenstein T55M18 from Mikes Civil war/Proxy Superpower campaign:

John nice work there, that thing begs to be heavily weathered!
David really good job, and the painting and the weathering look great. Those slat armor pieces will make it look really good when they are on. Waiting to see more.

John Nito74, James, John jkb_sprint, Paul - Thanks for the comments guys. These SKIF kits, at least the T-55 series anyway, need a lot of planning ahead and clean up for fit
John jkb_sprint - a lot of dedication in that conversion of the turret hatches. Looks good from here
Rob - I had to do a similar thing to all three of mine as well to get all of the wheels to set level. Your track sag looks realistic
Dave - Major weathering and progress
John Nito74 - That looks like real wood! well done

Well it’s been awhile since any last updates, but I’m finally making head way on my build.
John I like the extra bit of work you are putting into your t-55 with btu….adds a bit of loving touch to it.
Kosprue are you going to be able to finish all those builds before the campaign ends? Either way they should turn our great compared to the first one you completed.
John the T-62 is looking awesome and should look the part once weathered. Frankly I hate painting tri-color on some of the tanks Russia have, too many notch and crannies to paint around.
David love how your painting is coming along on your build. I especially love the damaged rubber parts, looks realistic.
Well here’s my update, about 90% finished with the build. I have the base finished and the first light coat of water applied to keep the next layer from soaking into the base. I still need to glue the figures and gear down, but I will wait until the water is dried. The tank I just about finished, still have a few more small areas to deal with before I can glue it down to the base

Well now Photobucket seems to have let my photos show themselves again armorama decides to stop sending me updates on this blog!!!! Is there a time limit or something to the e-mail notifications as this happened on my own blog too!!
Anyway my pics are back up so I will endeavour to keep going and try to finish my build.
Thank you to everyone who managed to see the last update for the wonderful comments, much appreciated.
Too much progress on here to congratulate everyone individually but needles to say some great work on display, the campaign album will certainly be something special.
Have to say a particular well done to Chris Ager though, one smashing build and to date I think the only one of us that's gone as far as a serious diorama, well done mate looking very good.
Keep up the great work gents,

Thanks James and Paul for the great comments.
This build has been a labor of love and a new learning curve for me. I’ve taken a few ideas from James’ build and scoured the web for other ideas to try out. There still are a few areas I’m not fully happy with, but will try a different route next time. Well Paul wait to you see the one I’m building for the desertised campaign, it’s 3 times the size with more vehicles and figures which I will post photos of today and what I have built. Keep up the good work everyone
