Jeff,
Here is the link to the kit listing on the Trumpeter site.
http://www.trumpeter-china.com/a/en/product/armor/1_35_Series/2012/0706/2170.html
You will notice that the box art is identical as are all the sprues, PE and decals as well as the instructions. This is the only written connection to Trumpeter on the kit box... Although Mono Chrome is listed as a Japanese company and the kit is listed as being produced in China...
If that isn't good enough let me know soon as I won't post any progress photos until it is approved.
Bob
Okay we're good!
You understand I must be fair and balanced to all those that DO have Trumpeter branded kits so that no one has any doubt at all.
So looking forward to your build Bob and thanks buddy!

Jeff,
Yes, I understand and agree that it all has to be above board. That is why I mentioned it.

Nice one John!
It's certainly on my list of "must haves".

I am anxious to see inside the box and how you feel it goes together too.

As I mentioned below I had this left over from the civil war campaign and I thought why not it shouild make a nice small project for the autumn. So I will build a Chinese Bj212. I may build it as a UN version I don't know yet.

If I remember right, a review on this said it has Modelkasten type tracks in the kit.
I gotta have one now if that's true!

Here's my entry into the campaign. Just received it from another member here a few minutes ago. Going to finish it as one of the very few ASU-85's to see service in Russia's conflict in Afghanistan. I have the updated mantlet ordered and I am still deciding on different track options.

Some small progress on the Type 73...
One thing about this one is the extensive detail painting. The interior on the option I am building has white, OD, black and some greys. At the top of the photo you can see part of the detail photos that are on the marking sheet.... an excellent idea.

This is what I like about Campaigns. Seeing phases of the build not available in most reviews. They can make your decision on buying too.
Great start guys!

Smokey,
I built the ASU-85 for the TD/SPG Campaign. It's a nice little kit and builds up to a nice looking vehicle.

Hi everyone. Some really nice kits started getting built here. The kit of my choise is this one. Hopefully some progress will be made in the weekend. (Too many builds on the same time).

Oh but it DOES!!! You must though assemble the plastic piece,
then lop off the muzzle brake to install on the end of the aluminum barrel.
BUT... I have my eye on a ABER aluminum barrel with a brass brake!

BTW John... just how large is this tank? It's slowing moving up my "must have list" now!
And John (jkb_sprint)... I DO like that version of the Chally 2!

WHERE can I get THAT gun set at? That is even much nicer than the one I was looking at!
Since I already have the kit, doing a little splurging is possible so a nicer barrel/brake and I might go for better tracks too... just depends on how these work for me.

Slight progress.... but I found something I really like in this kit.
First two pieces of PE installed. Just drop in and touch with glue... really was that simple.
However, the part that I really liked was the waviness you see on the PE sheet. It appears to be the same kind of material that they use for window magnets, and is on both sides of the PE. So, you can cut the PE off of the sheet and it won't move... then a sharp No. 11 to cut the material around it so that you can lift the PE out. I like this a lot better than the normal method.... would love to see this more often. However, that might just be me.
