I have decided to change my entry. I want to build the Buffalo with slat armor. I should be ordering it, this week. Hope this is an acceptable entry.

Yep, it sure is! I was going that route but then I bought the 1/16 Trumpeter SU-100 so now I must build back up the cash stash.

thanks guys, I really appreciate the feedback, this kit was a pain, and I don't think I would ever build one again, unless I needed one for a dio that was destroyed in some sort of battle.
the deck was warped, the frame rails were bowed. The cab was a pain, but I had too much time into it, to just "shelf" it.

I can't wait to see how that fuel tanker turns out, I have always wanted to build that kit, and I have even had it in my hand at the local hobby store, and always end up shelfing it for something else.

I enlisted earlier when the campaign started. I would like to know if I can combine two kits to make a "What If" truck or does it have to be an actual vehicle. I would like to combine an AMT fire truck with an American Industrial Truck Models B60 Mack cab kit
Modelling is something we never perfect. We should never quit learning new tricks and be willing to share what we have learned on our own.

There is certainly NO RESTRICTIONS on kit bashing at all, even a 'what if' truck as long as it's a truck and it serves a purpose as a truck was intended for.

Quick update.
We had a couple of good weather days so I managed to get some paint on the Studebaker...well at least the cab and rear fenders. Masked off the glass. Shot it with a pale yellow. I was trying to match a similar color I had seen on some Studebakers from the period.
Anyway, I'll be shifting gears to the working side of the vehicle...the bed. I'm probably going to go with a log truck. I think that'll go with the style of rear fenders better than adding a flatbed and some sort of crane boom. Depending on how it looks, I might switch to a tanker design.

I guess its time got started on my build. I will be a kitbash using an AMT American Lafrance pumper kit and an American Industrial Models Mack B Series cab and engine. The AMT is a plastic model while the American Industrial models are resin kits with white metal parts.

Jeff, I'm interested to see that one build up. I almost went with that one for the Active Duty Campaign but decided to use the smaller PLA launcher with the "jeep" instead.

Right Alex!
Start time either tomorrow or Thursday. I had a bunch of things to do around the house here before I set out again so play time will come later! (at least I hope so)

Long time modeller. Starting when I was a teenager, then I found out about girls and college and work and kids. But now that I have one girl, no school, no work and the kids are grown, I'm back to full time modelling. My prime area of interest is armor, b

I have started to mockup m entry. The green painters tape works okay to hold the subassemblies in place to see how they will
look. It also makes it easier to line up the front axle.
I haven,t decided if I will use Navy or Civilian markings
