A little extra time sounds great! Things just seemed to get busy this month. The wheels and tracks of my Type 97 'late' are 'basic painted' and I'm almost done with the topside building - just spotted a couple of extra details in photos that I would like to have a go at then its main painting time!

eMan,

Your Type 60 APC turned out quite nice.

What paint colors did you use?

Happy New Year!

Hello Jeff,

I use Tamiys acrylic paint XF-72 Brown(JGSDF) and XF-73 Dark Green(JGSDF) to airbrush the Type60 APC.

Happy New Year!

Let's just roll it till the end of January, with the holidays and vacations, this should work out better.

I think this's real.

I finished my model today.

Firstly Happy New Year to everyone.
Secondly, thanks for running the campaign.

Here are the images from my build.

Opening the box.

Now before decals and weathering.

And the finished product after repairing the broken wheel leg and replacing the antenna.

Thats all folks.

Thanks for the extension! Here's where I'm at:

Note how I added a little texture even though this is not cast armour. I feel that the perfect smooth plastic of the kit is unrealistic for WWII tanks.

A few details added here that will satisfy my OCD! The exhaust covers are loose right now and will be attached after painting. I had to recreate the muffler(?) underneath the mesh as the Tamiya piece is solid.

Well if there's an extension I'm in with this:

Are those sprue-baggies Japanese enough for ya;)
I've discovered that although I hate and despise 1/35 armour modelling. I love 1/72! Since this start pic tonight I have it about ~2/3rds constructed. Shouldn't be too tricky to complete in time.

Thanks, John and all campaigners.

Continue my hobby:

I think maybe it's wrong in brown on the camo scheme. I still don't believe that colour yet, although using Mr.Color's C22 Dark Earth or Tamiya's enamel XF-52 Earth belong to the colour instruction.

K.

that camo looks spot on actually, for my Type 90 and Type 10 builds, I used the color call outs from Tamiya, and from what you have painted, and from what I'm looking at with my finished builds, they look spot on.

Maybe after a wash and some weathering, it will tone it down a touch.

Great looking builds so far guys! and my apologies for not asking for the extension, and or going through that proper channel.

Fortunately my first day back at work got pushed and I had a day all to myself.

The colour a question mark. I don't have the JGSDF green, and depending on the photo it seems to vary a lot. So it's green.

Still a bit to do. Nearly there.

Finished. This is my first armour model to make it to completion.

I can't get the true colouring to show in photos. The colour modulation seems to wash right out in them.

I uploaded the photos of my finished model to the campaign gallery. I had forgotten to do it.
Looking forward to my campaign ribbon.
