Excellent build, Brett!

All of you are getting so far ahead of me. Been sick for two weeks and guess I will be playing catch up.

The M10 came out great. In snow that roof must so much less drafty than the open top. I can just imagine the crew stuffing blankets into the holes. Great build.

And my humble beginnings. Musket miniatures white metal American Civil War "Napoleon" cannon

Great instructions, so well detailed. And here are the parts.

About threee sessions of building later we have something like this.

Not as much filing as I thought there would be as the castings were pretty clean. Except for the gun barrel, that has to be smooth. It also wasn't bored much so I used my household drill to bore it out.

But wait there's a crew!

Have to prime it but I am waiting for the humidity to subside a bit.

Thanks, I can't even imagine how cold it got in those open top tanks.
I am excited to see your progress on the cannon. About how big is it? It's hard to guage the size from the photos.

I'm in with the Trumpeter 1/72 Stryker.

I took this kit on holiday with me last week, and it was only a couple of evenings work to put together

Nice and easy - but its a big box for a small kit!

Here is my plastic progress. I folded 90% of the etch, but am unsure if it is applicable to the Tusk II. I also cracked the lower hull, when I was securing the additional armor to it.

Making progress on the hull. I need to do some weld seam work before moving on. It looks like most of the parts are in the tracks. I may look for some after market ones. Lots of seam removal and attachment point clean up.

Gents,

The weekend was very good to me; I was able to cross the finish line. So, two more WIP photos; I wanted to try to replicate this photo...

Unfortunately, finding figures in 1/72 is quite the challenge. Unless you want them charging, throwing grenades, or pointing at something... "Hey, there's the enemy!" I digress.

Thomas - Is the plastic Dragon's cheap stuff or their newer, hard material?

Matt I got this kit on the first run. Actually have 2 and several Pershings. It seems a bit on the hard side almost brittle. Any idea when they switched over.

I believe that the hard plastic allows for finer detail.

Careful when you get to the tracks. Cutting the brittle plastic can snap them in half.

Thanks Steve I'll be careful. I have to check for after market tracks for the M46. I'm leaning toward the tiger face as a paint scheme it will be my second one. The turret fit is not the greatest it will need a bit of sanding.

Moving along on the M46. The turret has recieved a coat of Mr. Surfacer 500 since these pictures. Now to start adding detail. I am not going to mess with the kit tracks. I will be ordering some AFV after market tracks. I also opened up the periscopes on the gunners sight and drivers hatches. No one would go into action blind.

Just ordered some Meng tracks for the M46. Dragon's tracks are awful and a pain in the butt to put together.

Very cool, a fellow braille scaler. I will be following closely, looking forward to your progress and maybe learning some new techniques.

Cheers
