Wow, a M240L! I thought I'd never see one of those made in 1/16 or 1/24 scale. Nice work!
We do need some 1/24 M-4s, modern shotguns, modern handguns, M240, M249, and sniper rifles and weapons for 1/24 police cars, SWAT, and 1/24 Special Forces HiLux pickups.

JoeyKast44, thanks for the comment!
Kylie thanks, It seems to me, I need to think about figures soon
Next I will make the Ibis lights and continue with the weapon.
You're welcome; but whatever you do, make sure the figure can use a M240L (I already have one!)
good luck with the new projects,
Kylie

Honestly, there are not (m)any modern 1/24 combat figures or police cars, so the modern helmets may have no real need or audience for them right now, but they would be welcome nonetheless since the market totally lacks any modern 1/24 helmets such as ACH and Ops Core. The 1/24 modern weapons would be most welcome also; however, I don't want you to do work and then discover no buyers for them.
I think both 1/24 guns and helmets are wonderful and welcome since many modelers have waited for years, but as a businessman, I have to say be careful as these may not bring in huge demands just yet since there's a lack of 1/24 military and police kits. I may be wrong though about how much demand there is.

CA glue seems to work fine on other similar 3D items I ordered from them. I have rubbed some of my "Shapeways" items in the deep contour areas with a glass fiber pen to assure removal of all the excess 3D powder residue before a water rinse. I also applied a hand brushed coating of Future acrylic to deal with the subtle 3D printing steps in the finish. Hope this helps- looking forward to more of your photos! All the best-S

And more two variants I'll add in a few days.
Peter (Trisaw), thank you for your advice on the 1/24 scale! 3D printing method of manufacturing of models is expanding opportunities and reduces business risks. I will add to section 1/24 scale different models of weapons and accessories. Suppose that the market demand will show the relevance of various models
Kylie, thank you for your order on m240L in 1/16 scale and positive feedback! Great news that the quality on top). Yes, large scale shows the full power of 3D printing.
Concerning to the figures, I will explore a method of producing of figures on the Shapeways. I think in the beginning as an experiment to make sets of shoes, heads, if the print quality is good, then I can move on to the figures.
Stuart, a special thank you for your study of ways of processing printed models! Your advice is very helpful!
Joey, Roger, thank you for orders and good reviews, I'm glad what you like the result of 3D printing

Is there a huge difference between "Ultra" and "Extreme" detail plastic? I see the price difference, but I'm wondering if it's worth the few extra dollars to go for the "Extreme" plastic, or would "Ultra" plastic suffice?
The new SAW looks great!
Thanks!

Peter,
The layer height is the difference.
Extreme is 16 micron and Ultra is 29 microns in thickness.
I haven't ordered any parts in the extreme yet.

Interesting that the new releases, or pending at least, at not in 1/35, rather 1/32. Is this a typo?

Peter,
Any plans to make some towing bars as seen frequently on lots of MRAPs/Humvees?
I know Legend and Pro Art have them, but they are eithe part of a set or represented in folded position.
Looking at getting something like that picture:
http://img824.imageshack.us/img824/1903/dscn4128l.jpg
Edit:
http://www.ibistek.com/doc/product/13/Tow_Bars.pdf
Not sure if the Cougar and Maxxpro use a different configuration though.
Thanks a lot anyhow!

When I ordered, Shapeways also told me that this was not producible. I reordered with the "Try anyway" option and they came out fine. I think the handholds are so thin, the CAD model fails the manufacturing audit, but I did the clean up with a toothpick. Turned out fine. Be persistent.on that web page it says ""Not For Sale""

My order for the 1/35 SPM-35-027 TOW Fire Control System (FCS)arrived in Kentucky today. I wanted to try to show the "Extreme" printing option here. I sprayed a coat of Tamiya Fine Surface Primer from the rattle can, then gave it a quick dirty wash to show the details in the last photo. There are no "printing steps" visible. Note on Tamiya's M1046 Humvee(kit 35257) this would replace part C5 in step 24. Thank you Peter for such wonderful and quick work! I will order more items soon. Now time to look at the ITAS sight?
