She's looking good - although the only time I remember her looking that clean was in the monsoon season when she got a car wash courtesy of Mother Nature in laager, and that only lasted until we got moving again and the mud splatter accumulated.
One request - please get rid of the 11th Cav markings. I have a lot of respect for "The Blackhorse" and spent two and a half years as a Cav Trooper with the 6th ACR after Vietnam, but it isn't going to work with the deformed panther you intend to paint on the trim vane. And beside that, the 11th stole our body count from the Tet Offensive. To be fair, they were credited with wiping out the battalion of NVA at Widows Village and Ho Nai by the Stars and Stripes military newspaper, and I don't know who was responsible for the report. But the 2/47th Infantry (Mechanized) "Panthers" did accomplished that when the 11th had not yet arrived in Long Binh / Bien Hoa.
My battalion was awarded the Valorous Unit for the action, and I have the T-shirt to prove it ;-)...

That's one of my Mech-Grunt.com designs. The battalion won two more of these after I returned to "the World". So you see, leaving Blackhorse numbers on a Panther track is a hard pill to swallow.
Keep up the good work and keep the photos coming.

Hello All,
This time some shots after oil paint rendering. I made quite good base for pigments.
Mail gun with coupola is dry fitted, as M60 Shield (I know it shoud be on the left side, and 106 cannon on right - and it will be in such configuration in the end)
Bill, the 11 Acav insygnia will be covered by dust, so dont worry

Hello,
I just hand painted the cow on the front trim vane. Not exactly same as on Lee Anne, but I like it anyway…

I heartily agree with Sven and Taylor - great job on the weathering.
I'll give you a little detail that I have not noticed on depicted on a M113 model before.
As you probably know, everyone rode on top of the track whenever we could, as an RPG in the hull or a mine under it could ruin the day of anyone riding inside!
We track drivers, the TC, and the .50 gunner especially, often mounted to the top of the APC by stepping first on the track on top of the drive sprocket on the driver's side, then onto the spare track shoes bolted to the glacis, then stepping on the top of the trim vane, using the headlight guard as a hand hold to pull ourselves up. So in a muddy scene such as yours, smear some mud on these areas. And now you know why the paint on those headlight guards is always worn away to shiny metal.
So apply a little of your mud around these areas and see if anyone solves the puzzle of the trail. :-)
Great work!
Panther Charlie One-Four Delta, out.
