Progress on the Bishop has been slow... Lots of small parts to clean, fill, align and install. Still it's been very enjoyable.

The picture in the news paper is the Russian Su-24 that was shot down by Turkey. That should have made enough headlines (and the picture reproduced) worldwide to date the paper.
Since then I started and I noticed some things:
- Be careful cutting/filing: the plastic is rather soft and therefore easily damaged.
- The level of detailing is a bit overdone. Specially for the front office that might not be seen after building (even with the hatches open).
Having fun at the moment.
Question: how do I get my picture posted here?

I've been working on the control cabin interior:

The instrument panel decals gave me a hard time as they were nearly impossible to position correctly so i ended up with a mix of decals and painted decals. Not really happy with the result but it'll stay as it is.

By my book, it looks the part Cristian. A bit of weathering, and it is good to go.
Been slow on my other builds. Aiming to start on this campaign's build come January.
All the best for the holidays and the new year!

@Andras: Nicely detailed kit! However, those tracks links...! I'm sure it's going to be fun

I'll sure be following this with interest.
@Tat: Thank you! Same to you, a happy and relaxing holiday season! Looking forward to seeing your build.

Cristian,
Your IP looks awesome - I'm sure 99% of people would have thought that it was all decals. And like Tat says - with a bit of weathering and a wash it will certainly look the part.

Cristian... yes the tracks are horrible. They look nice when they are finished, but the process is just soul-killing. Get a movie, or start listening to some podcasts, and hope you won't go mad from boredom. Or better yet, train your SO/children. That'd be a solution.

I actually wish I had tracks like that. I have recently downloaded some Porcupine Tree concerts and some track assembly would go nicely along with it...
Unfortunatly, I cannot get my hands on decent set of T-34 tracks. All my usuall sources have nothing except some cast early (1941) type tracks or Fruil tracks and I do not know how to work with those.
But, on lighter side, I managed to bring my old camera back to life, so, some pictures will be incoming soon

Have a nice build, guys.

Nice details on that fuel tank, Paul!
I had a lot of progress this weekend on the Scud launcher. The vehicle itself is about complete as far as assembly goes:

The next step would be the rocket and then bringing the whole thing together with some final weathering, sand and what not.
Feedback is more than welcome!

Thanks!

I would like to stick my foot into this pool. I had two appropriate kits in my ready rack, Meng's British MkIV and Dragons USA T28 Assault Gun. I will start the Mk IV, as I am tired of build M4 Sherman boogie sets!

[/URL]
The Mk IV kit has 1400+ parts with 1000 being for the track alone. I have reduced this to 600+ by purchasing the new Takom track set when I bought the Mk IV at the Chattanooga model show. Track parts dropped from 1000 to just 190! I put three track blocks together and it was pretty simple. Of course, by the time I get 90 links together it could be problematic.
I will started when I finish my current builds in the Sir Defense group build. Maybe later this month.

Got a few more hours of modeling time today (Sunday). Made a little more progress. The exhaust cover is three pieces, and each door is made up of 10, so between cleanup and fitting, I'm pleased with the progress.

Welcome to the party, Jeff! That Mark IV is a welcome addition.
I wonder how could they possibly divide those tracks in 1000 (!!!) pieces. This would be like five separate component for each link!?
Lots of small parts, Paul! But the results look very good.

Yep, five pieces per link! After complaints from builders, they issued the set with one piece links. From what I have heard they will replace the 1000 piece sprues in future kits.
