Mark, hope you enjoy the T-80BV, I did when I built it. I have a build review for it on my website (see link on my sig). The two biggest things to watch out for is
A: The storage boxes mounted on the fording tubes. Trumpeter has you attaché them so the sit horizontal to the ground, most often they were angled. If you are building a specific vehicle check your references.
B: I have seen multiple build with this mistake (including mine before I realized and corrected) there is a block of 4 ERA mounted on each side of the turret. These should be horizontal with the hull/turret bottom for alignment not at an angle.
Only other thing of note it the tracks. The tread pattern is slightly off, if you want to go rivet counting you will want an AM set, otherwise it isn't noticeable unless you really know what your looking for.
brilliant !! many thanks for this. Also Cristian I will post up some pictures of the one I intend to build from Chechnya war.
The barrel i ordered is the Voyager one for T-80u ... I saw on website that correct barrel for T-80 Bv late is 2A46M-1. Now your going to tell me this is not correct I bet

Alright, I'm out of town on a business trip and I'll get no modeling time until next weekend. That means I'll be checking on the progress for those on this campaign and building vicariously through you all.

Hi fellas,
Is it too late to join in on this?
I've started a Tamiya Pz IV Ausf J. I'm not sure of the parts count, I did some research and came up with nothing. Anybody have any idea?
This is what u have completed so far, is it too much done?
Cheers,
Dustin

Hey Dustin,
If the kit is the one with number 35181 or 35262, I'm afraid these only have 291 parts which is below the limit of 500 set for this campaign.
Can you pleas confirm the kit? Thanks!

Sorry, but according to the
http://www.modellversium.de/kit/artikel.php?id=487 in-box review the part count is 291 parts on 5 sprues which is below the limit set for this particular campaign.
But maybe you can find another kit in your stash that will match the criteria above. We'd very much like to have you here!
With this particular kit, maybe you can join the "You've played the game- now build the vehicle!" or the "Unfinished Business 2015" campaign?

Andromeda673: I hate turning people down but this is a land and hybrid vehicles only campaign (see rule number 2 on the campaign page).
Maybe you can find another kit in your stash that would fit the bill?
Anyway, in case you decide to build that monster please do show us some images

Well, paycheck has been kind to me, so I came home with this:
Acording to internet (not stated anywhere in the kit) it consists of 504 different parts. I want individual track links from Bilek, but, that will come later.
And unboxing...
Everything must come to an end. Preferably in humangeous explosion!

Sal, nice truck.
I'm thinking about a model, several in my stash would be good for this campaign but I've not decided which one.

Guys, I have only been back into modelling after a 40 year break, for less than a year now and have only built 3 kits this year with two on the bench.
I am interested at trying this campaign but do not know where to start to find a suitable kit. Is there a website where I can search for kits with over 500 parts?
Thanks
Brian.

I'd be glad to have your pace, Brian!
My favorite site when searching for kits of a certain subject is
http://www.scalemates.com. You will not only find a list of kits there but also direct links to reviews and image galleries of the same models built by others. Their direct shop links are also nice to give you an idea of the kit price (but do a price research nonetheless). I'm not affiliated with them in any way just a happy user.
If you can give us an idea of what you are usually building, we might help with more precise suggestions.
Hope this helps!

Many thanks for your help Cristian.
My pace is so slow due to other commitments. I will look at the website suggested.
Thanks again.
Brian

Brian, I mean your pace is faster than mine.
The Jackal looks like a nice kit. Do you have images of the finished piece somewhere online?
As far as larger kits go, I can suggest the new Trumpeter or Meng release of the Smerch, the MAZ-537 series of Trumpeter, probably most tank transporters like the Faun or the M1070. But also some WWII subjects that feature single link tracks would probably fit the bill.
Just my two cents!

Cristian, I thought you were meaning you were overly busy with building kits. I realise 5 kits in 12 moths may seem like a lot but to be honest the 1/72n aircraft are relatively easy and not time consuming.
I am still learning different techniques and my skills will hopefully improve to make my models look much better as time goes on.
The Jackal took me some time as I had never used figures before. My model is a bit rough but there are some images here.
https://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/226839&ord=&page=11Scroll down to find them.
Thanks for your two cents. Much appreciated
Brian

Ok, little update. My glorious carpet monster ate one important piece of spring suspension. Since I do not know how to cast resin (or spells), like rest of you guys do, I had to build that little bugger. Easier said than done, but, I made it. It is a little bit crude, but it works perfectly.
Sorry for a bad quality photo. I only have my phone.
