Nothing at all Kevin. It would just be nice to have ba little more variety, but I'm sure we will get that if more people join in. At least the Canadian subjects ate mostly different - C1 MEXAS, C2 and C2 MEXAS.

C1 MEXAS is one of my two favourite Leo 1s, but I've built one already:-)

Actually I do like the look of the Norwegian Leopard 2's in the white baracuda. But this is a Leo 1 campaign......

Leopard 1s in Splinter camo look pretty good as well, especially with winter white added. http://leopardclub.ca/InTheField/Norway/1A5/

Not to annoy you Michael, but you forgot to mention the Leopard C1. It so happens that I have one in my stash that is slightly started! I'll be using Italeri venerable Leo 1A4 with Track Jam Leo C1 conversion with Hong Kong Creations tracks!

Or I could built that Takom Leopard C2 I also have in the stash!

But whatever I decide to build, it will be a Canadian Leopard 1!

I would like to join this as well. I have a project on the prep table for some time with very little done on it. A Canadian C2 having an engine change with the engine supported from the crane of a ARV A2, as depicted in a recent magazine article. The engine is PSM and is the only thing that I have started so far and is a dream to build.

The Track Jam C1 conversion looks great when done. Here is my build from a few years ago, I also used the HK tracks, and the PSM barrel.

Hello Christian
I was actually listing the Cannuck Leos already in the competition.

However, a C1 would be very welcome especially as you are now our 10TH entry:-)

Cannucks Rule OK!!!!

Hi Graham
And here we have entry number 11.

We just need official sanction from Armorama and we can call this campaign started.

Well done everyone!!

Then you can list my C1 as in! :-) Happy to be 10th for once and not first! lol

Your build looks good Michael, hopefully, I'll be able to make mine as good as yours!

Already we have 9 takers. We only need 1 more to make this campaign 'official'!

The nine are:
1 Kimmo Happonen - Gepard
2 Bob Wiber - 1A4/A4 or 1A2?
3 Eric Rains - C2 MEXAS
4 Tom Cromwell - 1A2 tractor, Fahrshulpanzer?
5 Kevin Brant - C2
6 Andrew Harris - AS1
7 Chris Johnson - C2
8 Eric Cannuk 100 - C1 MEXAS
9 Christian Armoured 76 - Biber, 1A4 or 1A5 (1.72)

My only concern is that 50% of these are Canadian subjects:-)

You know, you could count yourself in that list and have had 10.

Gee, I might have to change my choice and go with a bridgelayer or something. I could even put German --- gasp! ----- markings on it!

Bob

@Michael: given the current campaign schedule, the start date would probably be beginning of December. Would you allow us to start before the official date or we'll have to wait? I'm thinking that having to wait might damp the enthusiasm.

I have proposed the start date as 1st November, ending 1st May. Just need Armorama officialdom to give it the go-ahead now.

This thread should probably be moved to the 'Campaigns' forum, but what the heck, it's here. I'm in too Mike, with the OPFOR C2, will be ordering some things soon...

Cheers,
Jim

Took roughly a week to hear back from them a couple of weeks ago for the 500+ campaign.

Sorry for insisting on this but will you allow us to start the builds before the official start date? Thanks!

Yes:-) I don't see why not. I did say in an earlier thread that some ideas from Eric Rains about partially started models could be entered as well.

a. Partially started kits ARE allowed provided that the kit is NOT more than 50% finished.(Having only un-started kits will severely limit the appeal and potential number of participants. I mean really what does it matter if the kit is started or not and as several people have already stated they have began their Leopards, so I think 50% is just fine. This will be somewhat subjective but I think everyone will understand the intent.)

b. Building can be started if NOT more than 50% of the kit is finished on the official start date. (See Above)

c. Posting your builds in other campaigns IS allowed.(See Above, “I never understood why this should not be allowed in the first place” from the 500+ Campaign)
