@John: Got a picture of the C1 called Pink Panther? I'm curious to see what it looks like.
@Kevin: I'm happy to hear that yours went together well! It's not the case with mine unfortunately and now I remember why I haven't touched that kit for over a year! It looks like the turret is about 5% smaller than the kit A4 turret! This thing is turning into a CA fest (I'm not talking about California here) and a nightmare as well!
Got a question for all, I'm considering getting Meng's A3/A4 kit and add the MLM Canadian specific parts (minus the turret of course) to it. Does anyone know if this would be possible? I don't own the Meng kit yet so I can't check the differences between the MLM resin A3 turret and the Meng turret.
Your input is greatly appreciated.

The MLM turret is designed for the Italeri/Revell kit. The Meng turret ring is MUCH smaller so you will have to do some adapting.
The advantage is the Italeri/Revell kit is still very good and you can use ANY hull if you have the MLM turret.

@Christian
I did talk with Paul at Track Jam and he walked me through the turret issue, it does require a little work, clamping, putty, and sanding, but it does fit. The main issue is getting the Italeri turret rear onto the Track Jam resin turret, as I said a little patience and work, and it will look great.

Thanks Michael, but I'm contemplating not using the MLM turret at all if I can help it and just use the other parts on the Meng turret.
@Kevin: I didn't think about communicating with TrackJam... but I guess, I'll just suck it up and do my best! There was a lot of chopping required to fit the lower plastic turret to the resin turret, followed by a lot of CA and some sanding. I had to chop the back turret plate to fit as it was too long to fit the resin turret. It doesn't look very good so far, but I'm not done with it, yet. In the end, I guess I can always hide it with a camo net of some sort...

Here are some more:
There was actually more than one of them!!
This seems to be after the competition with the P Panther partially removed and a different call-sign 92A - or is it 32A (I could never make it out):

No problem, I remember seeing that photo many years ago and wondered what the US flag on the barrel was all about, but from what I heard that it was fairly common that competitors from other teams to "zap" national or unit stickers on other vehicles.

No they certainly don't. Especially with older software.

I don't know what you mean by older software? My Mac and its software is bang up-to-date. The problem is god-awful Windows that us non-Windows users have to put up with. Anyway, that is not the subject of this thread. End of the whinge:-)

A Royal Canadian Dragoon member named Ed Clarke on the CAT '87 team hand painted the Pink Panther artwork. All the other NATO teams had Tigers or Leopard artwork and he wanted something different.
The Pink Panther artwork lasted about a month after CAT '87 and then it was removed.
The callsign on the last image is 32A...Canadian tanks don't have a 92A callsign.

Seein' as the Campaign page still isn't allowing us to enlist, I think poking the Campaigns Manager directly is definitely in order! And hopefully he can move this thread to the Campaigns forum at the same time...

Hello Everyone
I have been giving some more thought to the administration of this campaign with regards to the awarding of the ribbon. It has been the standard that ribbons only be awarded to individuals who completed the campaign within the allotted time, which is totally understandable. However looking through past campaign threads I notice a trend where many of the participants did not finish their entry but put forth significant effort and progress.
My thought is this, Award two riddions. The primary one for completion and another for participation. The awarding of the participation riddion will be determined by the campaign administrator to individuals that they deem made significant effort and progress. Only one riddion will be awardered to each participant.
I anticipate a level of push back to this idea but I have given this significant thought and feel that this will not nagatively impact this campaign nor any other for that matter but only inhance the experience and provide a level of accomplishment and recognition to individuals who invested their time and effort.
Lastly I also been working on some ideas for the two riddions but have not come up with any that I'm proud of, so they are a work in progress.
Thank you all for your time and l'm looking forward to reading the responses and the thoughts that others will have on this subject.

I'm with you on this, Eric! It would certainly be nice to have that option. However, the topic has been brought up in the past in different forms already (multiple or different banners for different campaign achievements, etc) but the answer was constantly "It's technically not possible". The CMS this site is running on has its limitations. It seems to be that simple.
Still, I hope that repeated proposal will make things change in the end.

Most of the entries are Canadian subjects - over 50%. I'd prefer more variety, but hey ho!
