Okay I've got a few candidates candidates to pick from. I've picked up a Tamiya M41 Walker Bulldog and an old Trumpeter T-55. I also have a couple kits in the stash that should qualify.
Do we have to build it OOB, or as the vehicle it is labeled as, or can we use the old kit as a conversion, kitbash, or even what-if-ish subject?

Quoted TextQuoted TextHi Everybody
Well looks like we may have 10 committed members so there's enough interest in a campaign! Now a start time, to give everyone time to get ready and finish any part-built projects already on the way i was thinking a start date of 1st Jan??
We will also need someone to design an award!
Dustin part-builds would be OK as long as the majority of the build is still to be done.
This will be my first time i hold a campaign so any suggestions or pointers are most welcome
Am ok with 1 Jan start. How long will this go for?
But I don't have this one on "Waiting Approval" status, nobody sent the submission request
(button on the Campaigns Tab ... )
Stephen, you'll need to submit the campaign specs for approval. Cheers, Tat

So you propose a campaign, froth up 10 participants (suckers), then disappear? That ain't cool! I was looking forward to this one. Any chance to show off my borderline mediocre skills is a welcome adventure.

Stephen,
Will give the ribbon a try. But I can only think of a dog!
What are your ideas on a good visual for this campaign?
Cheers,
Tat

maybe a dogs head and the word 'Ruff'
From that old talking dog joke..
Guy goes into a bar and bets free drinks he has a talking dog.
Bartender agrees
Guy asks "Whats above the house?"
Dog answers Roof
Guy asks "Whats the texture of sandpaper?"
Dog answers Ruff
Guy asks "Who's the best baseball player of all time?"
Dog answers Roof
Bartender throws them both out
Dog turns to the guy and says "What?? I should have said DiMaggio?"

I have to admit the DOG bit made me think. I usually have a dog in my dioramas somewhere and it confused me . I've got an Italeri Panther waiting to be built so I'd build that depending on when it starts as I'm already doing two campaigns. If it was later in the year I'd be interested.

I know that it was stated before that you were going to allow partially started kits, does that still apply?

I am in. Should be plenty of old kits to choose from. Matchbox springs to mind
Is this only for AFVs or also for aircraft?
A ribbon with a dogs head could be cool.

a bit guilty for not coming up with a ribbon as earlier stated.
I'd go with Joe's suggestion.

Ok Guys looks like this one is going to kick off in little under three weeks, as stated earlier this is my first campaign so if i leave anything out just sound off and planes are ok too.
Dont want too many rules with this one so its ok if its part built, kitbash or conversions etc. just take the opportunity to try out a tech you don't usually use this could be in the build or finishing stage.
And thanks to joe for his dogs foot prints!

Would there be any interest with members on a build a Dog Campaign??
By this i mean the least accurate kit in your stash so all those 70'80'90s kits that have been replaced by more accurate model kits, as an example it could be Dragons old Panther F kit or italeri's Tiger 1 instead of getting rid of it on auction site(for lot less than you paid originally).Updates and corrections designed for the kit would be allowed and i think it would be nice if each member used a paint/wash technique or product they don't normally use seeing as the kits a bit of a dog anyway!
Would my Trumpeter Abrams qualify as a dog? When I compare it to my Dragon M1A2SEP it certainly seems so...

Hi Carlos
Yes the Trumpy Abrams would qualify, never thought the Dragon Abrams would be beaten but Mengs M1A1 looks like it might steal the crown as best abrams!
As Dogs go though i would list Abram kits as..
Italeri/esci/trump/Academy :-Dogs
Updated tamiya :-ok
Dragon :-Good

The only thing that is throwing me is "Using a new technique...". Does trying to make it not suck qualify as a technique?
