Love seeing photos of workspaces.....always an idea or two to pick up
this is mine - panoramic of 3 walls........
Nice pics!! I see that almost everyone has a 'putor right in the workspace. Mine is two floors away! I could say it is a blessing and a curse. Blessing because I makes me get off my butt to post pics and check websites and a curse because it takes more time?

I usually have at least my smart phone, and my IPad with me too, so I hardly ever turn my Computer on anymore. In fact I moved it right off my main workspace in my last shuffling while putting down the flooring, so I could have more workspace on the desk....haven't even connected all the cables bak up yet...

awesome work area man!! Ah yes,the dreaded fatboy status. My family tends to be "thick" so that was always a problem for me. Trust me,weight is 95% what you eat and less than five % what you do to work out.

Thanks! It's really solid and man is it heavy! Probably 30-40 years old...second hand and surplus store buying at its best.

Not much beats a thrift store for a great deal on an old solid oak teachers desk.... I'm on my second one in fifteen years! Paid 60 dollars for the first one, and I think I got my second one for 25 or 30!!!!
The nice thing about heavy, is its heavy....not much chance of bumping into it and somethings going flying

I absolutely agree. Heavy makes for a a more secure work surface. The problem is having enough space for big and heavy. I have a second desk just a little bit smaller in storage. Just not enough space in my current space to set it up. Once we get to our final place I'm hoping to put my lathe and such on that desk to cut setup time.

Michael, great workspace. I really like the way you have the airbrush manifold set up. The ability to shift between airbrushes would be a real help when doing fading and camoflage.

Robbie,
Your setup looks good to me. Roomy and well thought out. Designated spray area is a luxury I'd like to have.

Hey Robbie,
I see from that last pic you're a fan of Avalon Hill board games.

I have nearly everything ever published for D&D up through version 4, but unfortunately it has all been converted to pdf files and the hard copies all sold on ebay. It all takes up 11 dvds now. If I ever play again, I'll be spending a lot of time burning through expensive ink jet cartridges.

Hi guys, Here's a panorama of my new 'Panzerwerks' following a recent move — smaller apartment but happily I gained a bigger workspace! Small stash and built models are located in a closet to the right. Still working on lighting for the workbench ... WIP.

At one time I used to model on the kitchen table and had to put everything away after I quit for the day. It all fit in two shoebox size cartons and the kit box I was working on. There was no "stash" as the only model I had was the one currently being built! Maybe that method isn't so bad?
J
Yes, Jerry I too used to be like that - everything fitted into one old cutlery canteen, but those days are long past!

Jerry thanks for the question on the sink. I use it for clean up, rinsing acrylic brushes, fresh water for decals and rinsing out left over pigments etc. Its also a great place to wash up after using oil based products. I'm vary careful not to put anything bad in the drain.
As to my cardboard paint booth, I've been negotiating with my wife to let me vent out a basement window. When I finally win that argument I have a setup ready to go and the counter space necessary. She just doesn't see it the way I do for some reason ?
All very cool spaces..
Terry
I use the cardboard too. all I use is acrylics ,and I wear a mask so its fine. I have a "slop sink " in the basement Too Its great !!

I usually just enlarge the image on my iPad, as I also need it to be quite big... Not getting any younger unfortunately...
