I was wondering what you guys work with in your apts or houses for space?
Plus, after spending a solid week on cleaning, throwing out stuff and e-organizing I must admit I am a bit proud of the way this turned out. I took a pic because it may take another 10 years or so before it reaches this standard again!! LoL
Well,my girlfriend is happy anyway.

Wider view. I did not included the book area as it is still in disarray! It is next for attention and the spare unused books will once again find their way to the VA clinic.

So what do you guys work with?

Hey,
I recently had the idea to start a thread where everyone showed to his place of work. Your work space is cool.
Here's how my kingdom.

I have a different question. One that is being asked of me several times this week.
After they are done, now what do you do with your models?

Thanks, not every time look like on the picture.

No is not basement. I have small apartment and we bought with my wife tall bed and under the bed is my work place and next to it is desk with a computer. We joke that we have three rooms in one bedroom, a pattern shop and office.

Nice! Now I look harder and see the wooden beams in the ceiling. Very nice. When I lived in an apartment in Germany I only had a small roll top desk in the corner. Very small space. But my sons' bedroom was lage and we had model trains in there.

I look at them a few days, take pics, then they go in a box to keep dust off them. After a year or two I throw them away!

Sigh. All I got to work with is half the dining room table. Sometimes.

The work places in these pictures are scarily clean, tidy and organised. Mine is a workbench in a corner of the garage. I'm not doing much modelling ATM, 1) because I've got a dissertation to do (so why am I on here?); 2) because it's too ruddy cold to work out there!

My work space. I think the peg board helps a lot and I really don't know what I'd do without my sink.

Wow man, that is a serious space there! You are the czar of airbrushes I think.. Is that a tube amp I see for your stereo? Very cool. I just got a new upscale turntable and have returned to vinyl. I am looking at tube amps made right here in Pa.

It all makes sense except the sink. Why is it so crucial?

What else would I do with them? I just got rid of a few during this current clean up,including all the masters for my model airplane line I used to have. Along with the molds we are talking about 50 boxes of stuff.

Yeah, I guess I've I' got a few airbrushes. Been sort of collecting them for over 20 years. Some date back to the 50s and 60s before I was born. I'm getting better though... I've only bought one in the last year.
I use the space for electronics too. The amp you see is one I built this past year. I haven't set up my turntable due to a lack of room. I'm hoping to get to set it up within the next year or so.

Trust me, I spend as much time as I can in my space. When I was on active duty in the Air Force and had to move, there were 4 years where I had no place to work at all. I have been very blessed to have a place to set up and work and I'm not complaining at all.
There is nothing like listening to Adele or Pink Floyd when you are cleaning up mold seams or painting. Even individual track links aren't bad when listening to music that flows through tubes!

Ahh, Air Force. That explains the neatness. I was in the Army, so my sh*t is all over the place!
