Hello there,
Here's my entry:
It's the Dragon 'Wittmann Command Tiger' #6730. I got it cheap-ish and it seemed to have a few extra bits but I don't necessarily wish to model 'S04'. If anyone knows of other tanks that can be built from what is in the box, I'd be interested to know the options.
Cheers
Sean

Off to a good start Dustin.
I have a couple of DML Jagdtigers in the stash so I did some reading on it. I'm now leaning towards kit 9036. As I've read it is a late production Henschel; kinda unique as well, having transport tracks. No zimmerit required too so that shouldn't keep me long in the build (fingers crossed). Hope to get started in a couple of weeks.
Cheers,
Tat

Working on the photoetch now - the bane of modelers...
The floor monster (I don't have a carpet) shall be pleased.
Also, great start offs from everyone. Seems this campaign is starting to kick in to high gear.

MasterClub make a set of resin and metal tracks for the King Tiger that should work. $27 for the resin and $35 for the metal. Available at Hard Target. There may be other sources as well.

I've always wanted to try some German armor, and seeing as it's the most popular subject in the hobby, why not?
I'm in with a Tamiya King Tiger
And a little something that arrived from BNA.
This is where I am with the hull. Not going exactly by the instructions order.
After gluing the hull, I did some work on the turret while waiting for it to dry. I like to do some sanding on the seam line on two piece barrels and then hit it with some Mr. Surfacer.

Lots of tigers coming in. Hope to see some other kitties as well.
Anyway, looks like I'm almost done with the photoetch. I didn't lose too many parts thankfully.
I left the turret hatch openable in case I wanted to build a diorama. That's just sticky tack to hold it in place.

ComradeMP,
the barrel looks fautless!
Bryan,
PE looks great. The rest looks like it would make the enemy fill his drawers then hasten to the rear. Nice work!

Thanks. Mr. Surfacer does a fine job on filling in/blending those seam lines on two piece barrels.
You gotta love how well Tamiya kits go together. After some more work I've mostly finished with construction. Have some small gaps in places, but that's fine since looking at pictures, there are welds there. Next step will be some welds and painting. Side skirts, tools, and tracks will go on after I paint the hull. Also need to add the conduit for the headlight.
