With just a few days to go on this campaign I have stepped up the pace of construction. The wheels & DS rubber band tracks are on now. It has been a while since I used any of the rubber band tracks & I had forgotten how the try to stay circular lather than act like metal links and drape realistically. I ended up gluing the tops of the wheels to the tracks. They still don't look right but they are a bit better. Here are before & after shots:

Here is the superstructure ready to install:

More later!

Thanks Clayton, my eye may grow to like it too. If not, I can always build that set of Friuls and add them later. It could also be that the rubber band tracks will relax some after seeing where their duty lies . . .

Here are some pics of last night's work:

We're gettin' close now, it should be in under the wire!

Nice job on the weathering Paul!

I have the decals on my Panther D, going to try fit in some light weathering before the end of the day.

Done. Not sure If I want to mount the spare track, probably will. Got to decide what figures I want to stick in the turret, most likely later on. But for now, I'm done.

Lovely looking cats and here's my effort - the paint and decals are on and as it's a cheap Italeri job it'll be experimented on later for dirtying up

Congrats to all who have participated and those who managed to complete a Big Cat. You all made this a very rewarding and enjoyable campaign. Thank you all for entering in this campaign, I've enjoyed it a lot and I hope you all enjoyed it also.

This is the very last day so please make sure you have your pictures posted in the campaign gallery and your completed picture posted here also.

Cheers

Thanks Dustin, I have been trying to post my pictures to the gallery but do not seem to be able to find the magic formula. I have done this many times in the past so I'm a bit mystified about the failure today. The gallery is not locked is it?

Anyhoo, here are my pictures:

I see a number of items on this model that can use some improvement but they will have to wait for another post campaign work session.

Dustin. I have to admit defeat. Despite the very generous extension, I have not finished my Lynx helicopter. Poorly fitting parts and real life put paid to completing my model. Some really nice builds. Well done everyone.
