After assembly I painted the cat’s cage black, and the cat was primed with Tamiya gray.
I’m not sure how to paint the little devil up... maybe some combination of browns and tans?

Tim, that's gonna be sweet to display once done.
I think your choice of color combo is perfect.

Hello,
It has been a while since my last post, so here goes. After two unsatisfactory results of hand-brushing the rubber parts of the road wheels I had to go by way of masks. So I spent some time cutting and placing small paper disks. After two passes with a rattlecan:
Not perfect, but with some touch-up and weathering, it should be good to go.
Here's where it's at now:
Moving on to do filters and washes.
Cheers,
Tat

I bought and started this Revell King Tiger after i removed the initial down selected Tamiya 1/35 scale king tiger from my stash,.. maybe i keep it for the next "tiger" campaign,..
I seem to really like the current Revell models this is number 5 this year,..
A bit of extra added in the form of removing the side skirt and adding the hinges
Also wanted to place it on a base, it looks a mess but it will get better,..
more to follow

Hello,
Here's the latest state of affairs of my kitties:
Re Tiger I -- one of the kit decal options was for No. 332 of Pz.Abt. 503. This one's a bit famous as there are several photos of it stuck in mud. I've read that the turret numbers to be black on white, so I ordered a set of dry transfers as the kit ones were red on white. Well, dry transfers don't seem to agree with me, and I ran out of digits before I can complete one side, so I had to finally settle with the kit-supplied ones.
What I've noticed from the period pics I've seen is that the Balkenkreuz were not aligned.
Its shiny due to the gloss coat. Will be doing the washes next.
For the Sturmmorser -- am done with the ambush camo. Pattern purely mine alone and very much dictated on how much I can twist and bend the BlueTac. Will need to get to the multi-colored wheels next.
Still debating whether to put camo on that base part of the mortar. I think there should none, but what color should it be?
Till next update.
Cheers,
Tat
