Gaz I have a third Dragon 1/35 Nashorn coming with a metal barrel in it you're welcome to the other Dragon kit 6165 (comes with two brass 88mm shells). I also have the 6001 version of it as well but from what I've heard that's a dog of a kit. And I must admit to liking a challenge but not everyone likes one! PM your address details and I'll send it along.

Tat,
Elegant solution!

Thanks Gaz. I have this one painted and decaled, but never really got to finish it. Well, maybe someday...

Well then Tat, you'll have to submit it for Tank Hunters II in the future.

To One and All,
I browsing through the stash last night I figured out what to build. I will be doing the DML JSU-122. I have always liked SPG's, having built a couple of Stugs, Langs, Jagdpanthers, Su-85, etc. in the past for campaigns. So why mess up a good trend? I will post some pictures when I get started.
Thanks,
Stephen

Hi Everyone!
Stacy,
thank you for your entry. Looking forward to seeing it.
Stephen,
An Su-122 would be awesome! I'd like to see some big bore guns here.
As for me:
I textured the wheels, and hull sides with Mr. Surfacer and got all of the track links glued around the wheels which are held in place with blutack. I'm hoping that they dry nice and rigid.
The leaf springs will be attached once the tracks have dried for three days and I paint the base coat on the hull.
Happy building!

Some nice work everyone.
Zon, I do like the look of those Dust kits. One day I'm going to have to break down and buy one.
Tat, nice looking E25.
I still haven't started mine yet but I think I am going full-blown night fighting version. So I'm thinking a dark grey and red-brown camo scheme. Maybe a larger IR light on the gun mantlet. I'll probably start cutting styrene this weekend.

Alex,
They are pretty fun kits and an interesting subject. They go together fairly OK, although I'm finding the need for putty on the legs, waist, and a few parts of the body.

OK fellas
Here we go with yet another attempt to post some photos (the six failed attempts last night were me).
Finally, success!! Needless to say, this is the kit I will be building.
The sprues, as yet unopened.
Last but not least, the reference. The Jagdtiger I will be building is X2, which is one of three belonging to 512 sPzjg Abt, which surrendered in Iserlohn on 16 April 1945.
More soon.
Regards
Rob

A while back I picked up some figures for a planned diorama where the Soviets uncover a German mech. Because I planned on opening it up and add some internal details like the Soviet officers and technicians are examining it. I really need to go styrene as opposed to resin. Plus I don't like resin.
So for me, I'd grab the Gunther kit. Have you built it or seen it built? If it checks out I may bite the bullet and grab one for myself for my birthday.

Thanks Alex. Your camo color combo would be interesting to see laid out. Looking forward to it.

Rob,
Thank you for submitting your subject. I'm looking forward to your building descriptions. As a young teen, I bought the Tamiya Jagdtiger (back in 1980-ish) and was disappointed at how quickly it built up. I hope that Dragon has added more details to keep the modeller involved for a little longer.
Best Wishes,
Gaz

Here are my start images for the “Tank Hunters” campaign – the Wehrmacht’s ultimate tank killing system, the Volksturm Tank Hunter!
A gift from my wife last Christmas, this this odd little kit is a bit off the beaten path for me, but it should be fun. For the life of me, though, I can’t imagine how that poor trooper can be so happy...

Fellow tank hunters,
Some good action here!
Tim,
Thank you for your entry. I used to wonder about soldiers smiling in the face of most difficult adversity when I would see them in photos. It's a testimony to their mettle, being able to laugh in the worst of circumstances.
Matthew,
Glad ro see yout StuG. Many months left in the campaign, so no need to feel rushed.
Kevin,
I'm glad you have a blog to visit. This will give us a good preview of the kit.
