Gents, there is a new mold Vickers MKb out now, I've just had no luck in finding one. It's made by Combat Armor Models and had a release note here on the news page a while back.

I was happily reading along with everyone's progress and I realized I have multiple potential kits for this campaign so it looks like I'm in!
I looked pretty hard at the TKS tankette and the Wz. 34 armored car then immediately came to my senses and scanned the Tamiya pile
My build for this will be the excellent BT-7 model 1935, straight out of the cardboard.
If I have time I may tackle the Wz.34 and do a little vignette but I'm basing my build on the Soviet forces advancing near Sambor who encountered the Polish 91st armored battalion of the Cavalry Brigade on 23 September, 1939.
I still have some research to do regarding the exact Soviet unit but it doesn't really matter since they don't seem to have been particularly worried about marking their units.
The picture is awful because the screen washed out the room light but here's the start of the start:

Clayton - Your Steyr ADGZ is really neat, well worth the time & talent you have invested. I agree about P/E being a PIA on low production kits. I have built some that used P/E in places where it was obvious that the reason was solely to lower tooling costs. Just the same, I'm glad to see such kits on the market. Sometimes a subject is just so neat that you gotta build it.

I'm glad to hear this. I guess I got confused - Hobby Boss does make a Vickers but it is the larger Medium tank, also very neat.

Barry - Welcome with your BT-7. That is a great looking kit of tank that saw a lot of action early in WW2. Please post plenty of progress pics so we can follow along with your build.

Thank you much Paul, and in my delusional mind I'm considering trying to get a second one so I can scratch the interior in the future...silly me...

Thanks for the welcome Paul.
I've been taking photos as I quit for the end of a session but it's a Tamiya so after two sessions it's 3/4 finished already... I may have to work on the Wz.34 diorama after all.

As it turns out, Hobby Boss recently released an ADGZ, looking at the parts it seems very similar to the AMG version, but has posable wheels and individual windows...not much interior though...

Thought I better post some progress pictures of my TKS tankette, Panzer III and Panzer I command tank. These will be made into a diorama.
TOMs TKS Polish Tankette.
Really enjoyed building this one. For a $10 kit it went together easy. Add most of the P.E. but not all. Some of the bends were out of skill level.

The Panzer I command vehicle was another fine kit. Only problems were mind in the making.

The Panzer II Ausf B from Minicraft was a real pain. The plastic is really brittle. Every rod, conduit, gun barrel, etc. broke either trying to get it off the sprue or while sanding off the attachment points. I will not be buying anymore of their tank kits.

Next step is track assembly, priming, painting, weathering, well you know the routine. Next pictures should be more interesting (I hope)

Now to figure out how to upload things to the campaign gallery!
Your tankette turned into a real stunner. I see you came up with a way to stow the MG in a realistic pose. Good job!
Posting to the gallery is exactly like posting here. Use the same procedure that you used here and the pics should show there just as they do here. Armorama requires pictures in the gallery to get the ribbon so it is worth doing this.

HB is turning out some great lesser known models. They are making some that I just have to buy on the spot despite my "no more models" pledge . . .

Welcome Pawel with your 7TP build. I too am going to try my hand at it and see how it comes out. Please post plenty of pics so we can follow along!

Mark - You have set out on an ambitious road with three models. I'm glad to see them all. It seems odd to me that model companies would use brittle plastic. Don't they have real modelers build test shots and listen to the opinions? Broken plastic from basic modeling chores is a pretty basic error . . .

Update on my ADGZ, nearing the finish line...
All Primed:
Painted and Decaled:
Rusted and streaked:
All that's left is weathering, and since the summer of 1939 was very warm and dry in Eastern Europe, dust is a must!
Stay tuned!

Crossing the finish line with my Steyr ADGZ...As it would have appeared September 1, 1939, during the seizure of the Post Office in Gdansk, Poland, in the Danzig Corridor.
Der Inspektor Approves!
Thanks,Paul, for running a very enjoyable campaign!

Clayton, Very nice work on your armored car. Makes me want to send back my 1/72 scale kit (purchased long before HB's model) and upgrade to 1/35!

Clayton - I LOVE your armored car. Not only is it an interesting little known vehicle, your build brought the best out of the kit. It looks great with appropriate weathering for the situation & place. Great job!

Hey all,
I've enjoyed watching the progress you've made in your builds. Here's my final update for my little R35. I put the tank on a simple base to give some context for the camo job I had to do on the smooth tracks. The base is simply a stained wood plaque with cell-u-clay mixed with craft paint for the dirt and static grass. I added a piece of HO scale fencing to give a little break in the flat terrain. I added a few figures to give both a sense of the small size of the vehicle and a little context for the scene. The TC is giving the officer directions to a target in the distance. I've had some problem with a glossy finish on the infantry. I've hit them twice with Testor's Dullcote but I'm still getting a sheen. I'm going to get some flat clear paint that I can brush on to try and correct this.
The R35 turned out pretty decent to me. I hid the smooth exterior of the tracks with mud and grass. I'm calling this one done but if you have comments I'm always looking to learn.
I'm still slowly working on the gunnery ship but the PE rails are kicking my butt. I'm also going to put signal flag lockers on the bridge wings if I can fins some plastic strip small enough. I'll continue to provide updates on the ship as the campaign continues.
Here's the final photos of the R35.
I'll be placing some of them in the gallery as well.
Thanks
John
I just noticed the cell-u-clay has lifted a little at the front. I guess I didn't use enough white glue when mixing.

Nice vignette, John, that will look good on your display shelf!
