Hi guys, I'm an Aeroscale man, but I do play around with the ground forces every now and then. Actually I am buidling a Polish '39 Renault FT in 1:72 right now. I've started few days ago, I would have registered for this Armorama campaign, but I only stumbled across it now. Is it too late to sign up? I'm afraid I've put few hours of work into the Reanult already. I've got the hull and turret assembled so far, no paint though.
Hi Richard, it's the Dragon's one.
Regards from the south

Hey Shrimpman,
I'm looking forward to your builds. I did a 1/72 French R-35 in Polish markings for this campaign by the same manufacturer. My one fault with their kit was the lack of detail on the outside of the tracks. Do your kits have details molded on the tracks? I wound up putting mine in a small diorama and covering the smooth tracks with grass and mud. These tanks are pretty small, especially in this scale. My R-35 was about as long as my thumb. Anyway, keep us posted on your progress.
John
If I knew you were accepting planes I would have joined couples of months ago with my Airfix Do17Z in KG3 Sept'39 markings. It was a very satisfying build.
Agreed, Shrimpman!
Sweet looking Dornier and an exceptional job masking that massive "green house" canopy! Your Dornier would have been a nice campaign entry, as I believe we have only one aero entry so far as I can remember, with a Polish PZL P-11C in 1/72 from Jaeger8.
I haven't done planes since I was a teenager in high school ...tho, I have (2) in the stash pile:
A ProModeler SB2C-4 Helldiver I traded an ol' Tamiya Lancaster DamBuster with an Army buddy some twenty years ago - and a recently acquired Tamiya F4U-1D Corsair w/moto tug. Maybe soon I'll get up the nerve to give one of them a try!
Poland 1939 is open from 01 Dec 2016 thru 01 Jul 2017 so you are eligible to enlist even though you started your project recently, just send us a pic of your start and we all would love to see your progress pics as you go along. Paul (Hudson29) is the campaign leader and has final say of course, but I hate to have your request go unanswered as we have not heard from Paul for some time. I do hope he is Okay, has anyone heard from him? He has been very responsive to the groups progress throughout the build till now. I, personally look forward to your build and again extend a hearty welcome. Just a note: the build is open to aero also, not just land.
Paul,
As for the magic tracks, I finished assembling the tracks for each side I forgot to installed them on the tank before the glue cured. They would not bend enough to look natural around the sprockets, rollers and idlers no matter how much I tried. Lesson learned.
Marcus
