Sal - I think your Rad-8 looks just right for a vehicle that has been to war but not beat with long service. The mud around the fenders look just like I would expect it to. I have one of these kits in the pile someplace and your example make me want to get it out and get it built.

I just installed a set of Magic-Tracks for a Dragon Tiger II tank. This time I made sure I installed them before the glue dried. Also had problems with them falling apart but I found out if I let them sit for twenty minutes they held together. I used Tamiya thin cement this time but I am going to try Revel's cement the next time. See if gives me more time to setup and make adjustments to the tracks. Saw a demo on you-tube with a guy using Revel's glue and his tracks stayed together. He says he let them sit for 45 minutes before installing them.

Pawel - Your 7TP is looking to be a stunner. The brass really does improve it. The kit not be up to snuff but your improvements fill the gaps.

45 minutes should give you plenty of time to get them assembled. Let us know how this works for you.

I use MetilEtilKetone, or MEK. I apply it with a cheap #10 zeroes brush. Left marks.
I use the this glue for the overall project. One liter cost very cheap, and really you need to buy another, because evaporates than the use!!!
Cons, heavy smell to ketone, and of course dangerous to your health, as every glue around.

Wheew, I was getting worried. I've fallen behind on building and I was concerned the finish date was June!!
Realizing now that it's July has me a little more at peace.
It looks like some of you are making fantastic progress, I really need to stir myself and get my BT-7 finished!

Thanks for the info. I never thought of trying MEK not that we can get it anymore in California. I look forward to hearing how your other brews work out.

In addition to a business and personal life I have a number of other hobbies which often demand attention. One of them a 1923 Model T Ford Runabout that burned out a high speed clutch which needed attention before it could be considered an automobile again. There were other bits too that needed doing before returning to modeling.
In any case, I'm back and will get some Dullcoat on the Tamiya M-141 project for the 150 campaign today or tomorrow. I have all the bits assembled for my own 7TP and intend to try a new (to me) method of masking using Panzer Putty. There are no directions so it will be an experiment!

Should some of us need an extra week or two to complete it is sometimes granted by those who decide such things. We shouldn't count on an extension, but if needed we can ask.

I believe this is a wrap up on my Panzer III and Panzer I. Both models were lightly weathered. My plan is use them in a future diorama were they will be finished out.
Here a few pictures of the Panzer III. This is MiniArts new release. I am to new to tank building to really have a good or bad opinion but I will say this, the plastic is really brittle. I broken just about every piece that was a rod, conduit, etc. getting them off the sprue. I was really slowed down having to glue the piece back together and waiting for the glue to cure to make sure there was a strong bond.
Here are few of the Panzer I Command Vehicle from Dragon. I found this one a joy to build. No issues at all except the ones caused by my big fat fingers.

Wow! Seeing your models makes me feel more than a little intimidated... But, everyone had to start somewhere, I guess. Making progress on my PzIID and Renault FT-17. Can I ask you to take a look at the camo on FT? Does the green look too light? I used Hataka Polish AFV Green, should be spot on, but somehow I feel something is off.

I'd say that green is pretty much exactly what it looked like when the tank left the factory, before Mother Nature got ahold of it...

Due to house moving etc., I got a little behind with my Builds and due to poor packing, some of my builds have been separated from their parts.
Thankfully, my offering for this campaign has not changed and will remain the Mirage Wz.34-II.
I have actually progressed much further, but can’t find the photos, thus will have to take some more.

Mark - Your Panzers came out well despite the trial the brittle plastic gave you. I'm fighting the soft plastic on a Zvezda T-35 kit which is too far the other way. Great job, your models look terrific. The tracks came out realistically. Were they the link/link style?

We're all here to learn and you will find nothing but support here in your efforts. My own skills are basic and I learn a new trick or two with every project.
I looked at my printed material and the colors on your FT-17 seem pretty close. My screen & the printing process will add uncertainty to the artistic ones by the illustrator and restorer's judgement. I think you probably got it pretty close.

I have a road trip planned that just got postponed until the week this campaign is supposed to close. I'm thinking of asking for a one month extension. If granted, we would close August 1 rather than July 1. Otherwise the awarding of ribbons would have to wait for my return and I'm thinking some of us, myself included, might need a bit of extra time to complete our builds.

I'm all for that, Paul! I'm retired military and have had the luxury of being home all the time for years, but have just started working full time this last month or so. Needless to say I'm falling behind schedule myself. 01 August is just a plus if so granted!
