I love the smell of enamel thinner in the morning.
The smell, you know that enamel smell ...
the whole scale modeling room.

Hi guys, some update. I use Tamiya spray primer, I will paint with Ammo dunkelgrau later, when the weather improves and we have less humidity.
Also, work in the panzer commander, some carving in a Tristar one with Legend head....

Very nice work, shaping up to be a first class build.
Your picture comparing the two tanks really show how far war will advance technology and how fast.

Hello, I've got some progress photos on my projects. FT-17 is being built at work, I only have very rudimentary tools there and not too much time available, so it's a slow progress. I got the gloss coat now to apply wash.
And below is my PzIID, I decided to up my game and try to weather it a bit. I am now experimenting with mud effects, trial and error (well, mostly error), but I got to a point where I think I like how the wheels turned out, hull bottom still requires a lot of work.

Hi guys, I could paint the Panzer this week end, well, a base coat only. Tamiya color outside, inside Ammo creamweiss.

Alvaro - Your build is coming along well. I always admire figure painters, it takes realism to a whole new level.

Sorry for being stupid, but I cannot find the campaign gallery. Can someone please point me in the right direction? I was checking armorama-capmaigns-2017campaigns but cannot find Poland 1939 there...

Nice work Shrimpman...gotta give you 1/72 guys a lot of credit! That's one scale I'd never attempt.

Hi all,
Plugging along on the early Pz.III Ausf.A, I have most of the lower hull and wheels painted.
The kit has gone together splendidly, aside from accuracy issues with the tires that I decided to ignore. My one major gripe is the tracks. They are designed to be workable and it comes with a jig, but the track pins come on the sprue so that you have to cut them off individually. Every other kit I have built with this track style, the pins come in nicely spaced runs so you can cut five or six at a time and slide them onto the tracks. In fact I am probably going to replace the kit tracks with the Miniart set.
Shrimpman - great job on your two mini²! Last summer I got to see a restored and running FT-17, one of the highlights of my year.
-Cheers Nathan

Shrimpman - Good work on your two contenders in Poland1939. They are both looking very attractive. They would go great right next to an aircraft.
We all need to post a couple of pictures in the campaign gallery to get the award, thanks Clayton for listing the page.

Nathan - Great progress so far on your Panzer. I too have had poor luck with the plastic pin type working tracks. The pins were never strong enough to survive my fat fingers wrestling to install them. I had good luck with a resin MasterClub set that look great and survived my bumbling. My go-tos are Fruils. Easy to build if time consuming, sturdy & with great natural sag courtesy of gravity working on the metal links.
Let us know how you make out.

I finally got a start on my own project for Poland 1939. It is a 7TP in 1/35 scale from a kit that would becpme a Mirage kit later with, I believe, some changes. This is the early one and I found it at a model show for $7 with a resin conversion kit to make it into a Soviet T-26.
The previous owner had cut some bits to fit the resin but I only found this out too late to fully reverse the mods. Oh well!
The kit is much nicer than I anticipated. The fit is good and the detail not too bad. The only rough patch so far is the fiddly boogie assemblies which needed a bit of putty.
I have a metal barrel & a set of Fruil tracks for the Soviet T-26. I'm hoping they will fit the kit, we will know shortly! Here are a few pics of the start & yes, I know the rear boogies are on bassakwards. They are not glued!
Also the molded on tools were sanded off and will be replaced with some A/M items.
I'll get more done on this before I go on the road for a couple of weeks and all progress halts. More pics later!

We could use some of your cool around here. We are having a heat wave and it is too hot to go outside unless it is really necessary.
