now waiting for Poland 1944
That is a great idea! It would have the same cast of characters but recast in somewhat different roles.
Anyone else interested?

We are inside of a week with our Poland 1939 campaign. Please make sure that you post some pics of your project to the Poland 1939 campaign gallery:
https://gallery.kitmaker.net/showgallery.php/cat/30641That is where I will look to award the ribbon.
It looks like I will get my 7TP in under the wire, how about you?

Hey Guys!
Well, it's been awhile since I last posted on Poland '39 with my civilian impressed Blitz, but unfortunately I have to announce my
resignation from this awesome campaign. I've just now returned home from spending the last month looking after my father down in Florida...Sarasota ways for you Floridians.
I do want to thank Paul for inspiring me to get back in the hobby with a great looking campaign ribbon and an early war theme that always had my interest. If you run with the Spanish Civil War Campaign as mentioned earlier, I'm down for that. I still plan on running a Fascist Italian Campaign in the near future, myself.
Tho I will not make the deadline for this campaign, I will finish the Blitz in my intended Poland 39 diorama with figures and post progress on the Diorama thread for those that are interested. Thanks again all for your kind comments and look forward to all your completed builds...and a special thanks to Paul for the Campaign.
Just a last parting snapshot of where I left off with the Blitz.
I love the smell of enamel thinner in the morning.
The smell, you know that enamel smell ...
the whole scale modeling room.

Count me in re Poland 1944. It sounds interesting -- a Sturmmorser comes to mind. Here's probably one info source for that event:

To One and All,
Sliding in under the wire. The Tamiya Polish Campaign Pz. II is done. I may do some minor touchups, but it is done. I kept the model fairly clean since the war had just started. The kit built rather well and the 'link and length' tracks fitted nicely with very few swear words involved. The added small dio base is from Tiger Werke - Jose makes some nice items. Here are some pictures. The tank looks a little bleached out - I think my lights were too bright for the photos - pardon my mistakes.
Thanks for a fun Campaign and congrats on all the nice models built for this.
Thanks,
Stephen

Richard - I'm going to go ahead and close this campaign on time but - if is within my power to do so will award the ribbon to late finishers on application. If you are anyone else thinks the can finish in the near future let me know. I'm not sure I can do this yet as this is my first time running a campaign. So - if you need extra time and say so, I'll see what I can do.

Lap Man - Great work to finish so quickly. Your panzer looks terrific. Your grey is very dark, I have seen photos that seem to suggest a very dark color. Good work and thanks for joining in.

Stephan - Your panzer is wonderful and the base really helps to set the theme. A great job with a great kit.

I think this is such a good idea that I will run with it if someone else doesn't beat me to it.
I have a Spanish Civil War campaign recruiting now. It should be a fun special interest campaign if we get enough builders to launch it. We're half wy there right now.

It has been wonderful to have you all joining me in this Poland 1939 campaign. It has been a special interest of mine for years and you have all help bring this neglected modeling are to life. Thanks to all who participated!
Please remember to post some photos of your build to the campaign gallery:
https://gallery.kitmaker.net/showgallery.php?cat=30641The ribbons will be awarded to those who do.

Thanks Clayton, this build was one I wanted to do for a long time and it was worth a bit of extra time. As I recall you made one of these 7TPs for another build? Was it the DOG campaign? These kits do require some extra effort and that was good for stretching my modest skills.

Nice finish guys, congrats!
Well, my armored car never got to the wire
The farthest I got to was a gloss coat in preparation for the washes. Lesson learned -- never start too close to the deadline as surely there will be snags that can hold you down.
Cheers to all!

Yes, I did build one for the DOG Campaign, but hey, Dogs are people too!
I actually have another kit in my stash, that one has indy links...

Paul,
Nice 7tp. You really improved on a basic kit. I enjoyed the campaign and the Tamiya PzII. I built their old PzII back in 86 when I got back into models after college. This newer one is much better.
Again, thanks for a nice, well-run campaign and to the enlistee's who built many unique and little seen models, I mean, not everything is a Panther, Tiger or a Sherman!
Thanks again,
Stephen

Paul,
Thanks for organizing this campaign. I really enjoyed everyone's builds. There's a loot of talent here.
I drydocked my gunnery training ship when I dropped it while working on the pe railing and lost the rudder and a propeller guard to the carpet monster but it gave me the excuse to build the R35. Both the subjects and the kit brands were new to me and I had a lot of fun with them.
Hope the SCW campaign is a go as I'm looking forward to more unusual builds.

You have a 7TP kit with indy links? This is one I do not know about. Tell us more!

Sorry to hear about your ship. At least you got some experience in the build.
You hit this right on the head - Poland 1939 & the SCW campaign are opportunities to build out of the mainstream.
