A quick wiki search reveals that Johannes "Hannes" Trautloft
on 1 September 1939 he was the commander of Jagdgeschwader 77. He commanded this squadron during the Invasion of Poland, in which he got one victory.
So he definitely was there for the invasion of Poland, and the plane I posted earlier corresponds with this.

Well, I changed my mind again...found a very cool kit, and I'm always a softy for the underdogs, so I'll be building a 1/35 TK-SD "Tankette" by RPM...got to stop buying kits....

There was one word in the Polish title that resembled "replica" so I'm guessing someone made it up. It sure looks good to see it running along on the dirt road and turning in tight spaces.

They are when their charge and retreat leads the unsupported armor into a battery of hidden anti-tank guns.
I have an old Airfix multi pose conversion of a dismounted Polish cavalry man I could finish for this.

yes, looks like a good weekend build...but I found a detailed interior kit for it...costs more then the model, LOL...

The TKS came in today, and this is VERY small...looks like 1/72 scale! I was thinking about getting the Interior kit to go with it, but the hatches are so small, I don't see how anybody could ever see in it. This is the original Personal ATV!
Maybe I will build a "Tankette Vs. Tank" Vignette for the campaign...;-)

The interior kit is pretty bad. Poor detail and chunky all around with a lot of mismolded parts. I got it for the TK-3 which had large accordion fold hatches.
At this point I am not sure how far I want to go with them. Not even certain about adding all the missing bolt heads.

Pending the Tamiya release, I believe the only 1/35 injection molded kit available today comes from Italeri and Historic Plastic models. Th reviews I've read point to Italeri being the better one.
If you are up to making it as accurate as possible, you may want to add the side vents behind the front fenders:
Both kits available today don't have it, thus it will be need to be scratchbuilt. Hopefully the upcoming Tamiya release will have this, though the odds seem to favor that it may just be an Italeri rebox with an added figure.

This vents seems to be blanked off or replaced by a mesh in the Büssing-NAG and Daimler-Benz builds. Also I've seen pictures with vertical louvers instead of the Magirus horizontal ones. Hard to tell with the B&W pictures available.
Anyway I have a couple of months to study the subject, and any help is welcome!

Welcome Raul with your German armored car. It looks to be built on a large truck chassis and was likely the contemporary of the Soviet BA series. I'm looking forward to seeing it built! Tat's pictures shows one in the markings I think of most often for the Polish campaign.

I have only join this forum a couple of weeks ago and enrolled in this campaign a couple of weeks ago. I thought this would be a good time for me to do a diorama of a knocked out Tankette being pasted by a group German armour.
I won this Polish Tankette kit at a model show. It is version "TKS" with a 20mm gun.
The German armor will be a Panzer II B command version along with a Panzer IV Ausf B. or I may go with a Panzer III. They will all have 1st Panzer Division markings.
I am still working out how I want to present this scene but I believe I will have it worked out by the time I have the models built.
What do you think?

A diorama would be great. The little tankettes were certainly outclassed and overwhelmed. Have you looked over the TKS model? Do you intend to use the kit tracks or is there an aftermarket working track option?

There are no after market tracks for this kit that I can find. I did purchase a Aber P.E. kit for it.
The kit is so small it hard to believe that the scale is 1:35. It shouldn't take more than a few hours to put it together.
