That's a bad looking track. Looks like the grunts inside it are well protected. Would love a model of the all-up Namer equipped with Trophy. From what I've read the Trophy system is still not that common due to budget pressures.

Given how common ATGM's are becoming, especially on their northern border, I'd suggest that $300K is pretty short money.

Are there any conversions out there that would allow me to build one of these? I'm not a huge IDF armor fan but for some reason, this track really appeals to me.

Hobby Boss does a 1/35 "Namer" ARV, Legend has a full resin 1/35 "Namer" HAPC. I'm not aware of a conversion kit.

Seems a bit shortsighted but the IDF is still ahead of the US military which, at last count, currently has zero active-protection systems installed on their vehicles.

The US Army is currently testing the system. Earlier I've credited IMI (Israel Military Industries) with designing and building this system, but actually it's Rafael's very own product.

Despite all the new designs, the obsolete M113 "Bardelas" is still the backbone of the IDF's mechanized infantry units. This fact leads sometimes to clashes between the reservists and their superiors.

we meet again, ReluctantRenegade, thank you for the shot of the mine plow, most interesting. And I've some more to add...

Now, of note is that the 30mm remote control weapon station is available as a kit from two different makers... just be aware of the orientation of the missile box as it can be either side by side, or under and over, depending on which vehicle it is mounted... the Achzarit or Namer.

Legend's is to release a rocket set for the PUMA "carpet" update, so save ya pennies. If not, I've a shot or two of the rockets, if anyone is interested.

You guys sure are keeping this thread interesting. Makes me want to purchase all these subjects in 1/35 kits. Btw, what is that box thing at the back of the Namer with #2? It looks like some kind of ammo sticking out of top of it. Anybody knows anything?

That is the so called "carpet" system on the rear of a PUMA engineer vehicle.

Of interest on the rear hull of the Namer is the slat armour around what could be senors or counter measures.
