OK, base coat of paint, and decals are on.
Decals for the dashboard are done!
Always "love" slicing the star into segments for the front armored slats!
Weathering and detail painting are next!

Guy - Those instruments look GREAT! I had to look at the picture carefully to determine it was a model. I have one of these Dragon kits in the stacks someplace, you are providing motivation to get it out . . .

Very neat build, Guy, great detailing!

Great-looking half-track, Guy! Just needs a couple of figures of Cowboy and Willard to make it complete!

Thanks guys. It’s been a fun kit. The Archer’s transfers for the dashboard work great, and are a heck of an improvement over what I could paint! That’s right! This one would fit right in with Kelly, Oddball, and the boys!

Guy, your 105mm armed halftrack looks fantastic. A good paint job and a few well placed decals really bring out the model's character. Yes, this vehicle would fit perfectly with a Kelly's Heroes scene....at least until the friendly-fire strafing destroys it. Yikes! Hahaha. Keep having fun. Bill

I apologize but when I first posted my sFH 18 "finished" photos of my model I sort of "jumped the gun", my bad. - I still needed to add the decal lettering, the aiming poles and the sighting optics. Sorry 'bout dat.
Finished now!
p.s. I made no effort to position the lift rings on the axles in a downward position. I know from prior, real life experience with both a sFH 18 and a PAK 43/41 that these lift rings quickly get a coating of lite rust and mud and start turning WITH the wheels. Gravity is very quickly no longer sufficient to keep them pointed towards the ground.

Made the same mistake on the PAK gun I posted earlier. Failed to add the decal markings. Here is how the now truly finished project turned out.
p.s. I modified the front axle so these wheels actually steer with the swing of the drawbar.
This artillery piece is NOT part of the campaign as it was started (years ago!) well before the campaign ever began.

Michael, fantastic work on both the LeF 150mm gun and the 88mm PAK. Top notch build and paintwork. Always partial to the deadly 88mm. Keep having fun. Bill

My PLA 105mm Recoilless Gun is finally finished. Hip hip hooray!!!
I'm pleased with the final outcome. It was fun doing something different.
The gun was a breeze to build, though small parts made it a fiddly assembly.
The real challenge to the project was getting the figures to look decent.
The base work was a simple one. A wood plaque, cork subsurface, Woodland Scenic items all combined easily. Railroad tree products and air ferns were also used.
I had a blast participating in this fun campaign. Thanks for viewing and commenting so cordially. Good luck to everyone else in finishing their builds. Bill

Thanks John for the extra time.
I went ahead and burned some midnight (3am actually) oil to complete both guns so I am off the hook in that regard.
Cheers
Mike

Guy that half track is great. Actually watched Kelly's Heroes just after Don Rickles passed away. Donald Sutherland's turn as Oddball is one of my favourites..."Don't hit me with them negative waves so early in the morning."
William superb scene with the recoil-less rifle.

Franck, your Churchill looks very good. Paintwork is modulated nicely.
Linus & Guy, thank you. I'm glad you like how my PLA 105mm Recoilless Gun turned out.
