Update on my 88mm Gun Flak 18. Four (4) days left! Aaaah!
Decal work is underway. The kit decals were bad, so I used decals from my spares collection. Markings make it an Army Flak gun, but it's being used by the Luftwaffe. That's my story! Ha!
Thanks for viewing. Good luck everyone on finishing the campaign.

Had a problem with one of the parts on the Britannia Metal gun, some holes were missing....Great Customer Service from John Garcia,of Model Expo (http://modelexpo-online.com/ ), who within 30 minutes of communication agreed to replace the questionable part! Kudos to him!
Well, sad to say, I'll need to shelve this until (hopefully) Artillery 2018...a lot of work to make the useless piece useful...

Update on my 88mm Gun Flak 18. Three (3) days remaining. Aaaah!
The 88 is complete, well almost. Got to matte varnish the decal areas.
Work continues on my Flak crew. These should be finished today, then I have to make a suitable base for everything. Getting down to the wire.
Thanks for viewing. Good luck everyone on finishing the campaign. Bill

Update on my 88mm Gun Flak 18. Two (2) days left! Aaaah!
Gunner figure added to his position. Also matte varnished the glossy decal areas.
Painting on the crew figures is done. I added 3 shells to the loader figures.
Remaining kit details are being worked on here. Ammo crates and spent shells are nice additions.
All that remains is making a suitable base for the model. Thanks for viewing. Good luck everyone on finishing the campaign. Bill

Very nice, especially the camo at this small scale. I have a problem with the "bulkiness" of some of the figures but all around it is a first rate job and the dio base really brings it all together. Aces! Kudos!

Hi all,
VERY impressive builds/dioramas here on display. If I had time, I'd compliment everybody individually.
Anyway, I finished my Meng PLZ05 (many thanks for the extra time, John, I needed it):
Congratulations to everyone who's finished and good luck to those working up to the deadline.

I always enjoy anything mounted on that big MAZ 8x8 chassis!
(I've built four of them so far and contemplating a fifth one!)
Also the Russian PLZ, self-propelled gun is very impressive.
I have enjoyed this thread AND the campaign itself very much!
Congrats to all who participated!

Due to the Photobucket Mishap of 2017, all my postings are dead, so I am posting highlights from start to finish as well as a gallery pic. I have left the piece relatively unweathered as I intend to build the crew set that goes along with this and make a base, but I am in the middle of creating my display area and the crew won't be ready for some time.
I think this makes four of these entered with one pull-out. The other two are in towed position as well, I believe.

I had to hand paint the sighting poles in-situ as I forgot to do it while they were off the kit. I had already done the camo and decals before I realized it. I am now ready for a few rounds of playing "Operation" with my kids.

As the gun is deployed, you could just have left them off - they'd be out in the field. Nice to see another sFH, we almost have enough for a whole battery.
