Hi everyone,
In amongst my day I've been working on my Valentine and getting some practice with my Silhouette Portait. Here's a couple pics:

The markings are spurious and incomplete. No tank serial number, nor numbers that will try to add credence to accuracy. I just want to have a little fun with this build and not get too mired in details.
One detail I almost overlooked was the fact that small, usable things would have been looted very quickly. So, I left off all pioneer tools, tool box, and coax MG. I left the storage boxes open to give that "rummaged" look.
Cheers,
Gaz

Thank you, Ken.
I agree that background offers a lot to the picture. I think I might use backgrounds in future efforts unless I'm looking for critique or trying to illustrate a point.
Wish I wasn't so lazy when it came to making bases.

Thanks much. Really enjoying seeing all the other entries. Appreciate you starting this campaign. I'll be doing another Valentine sometime but next time around I will try the Tamiya offering.

Chris,
It's my pleasure. I'm certain that if I do another Valentine it will be Tamiya.

Well I’m still plodding along with the Grant but with only eight days left I think I must concede defeat

. That will teach me to take on two campaigns at once

.

A lot of really nice builds in this one.
Thanks Gaz

Todd,
I'm sorry you didn't get your build completed. Maybe you can share it with us in the future.

I'm sad to say I wont be able to finish (or even start for that matter) my entry. A combination of health and family issues meant that I've not been able to even sit at my bench since December. I'll finish my DAK Panzer one day
In the meantime I'll just drool at all the wonderful builds in this thread and draw inspiration for my build.
Cheers

I am out of the race too.
Still rebuilding my airbrush compressor. I am replacing the tank since it has two holes, rusted through. The replacements come from two fire extinguishers.
Today I will be hard soldering bits and pieces of couplings to connect the valve head of the extinguishers to the couplings for compressed air (different sizes and types of thread).
The good thing is that the tank volume will be 50% greater and I will end up with three quick connects for airbrushes and two pressure reduction valves so I will have the possibility of two different outgoing air pressures.
It will look like a small oil refinery though .....

Robin,
Sorry to hear you've got compressor problems. I use a large, noisy shop compressor myself.
Maybe we'll catch up in a future campaign.

Howdy Y'all
Don't forget to post your photos in the Campaign Gallery, I just got mine in.
We're nearing the finish line but you still have time to finish. Thank you Gaz for another fine campaign.
What's next? You always have great ideas for campaigns.
Take care,
