In with AFV Club Flak 38. Hopefully should be a relatively simple build. Famous last words!

Would a ZPU-1 from Meng's Hilux kit be okay? Just the gun. I plan on using the pickup for something else.

Thanks. If time allows I'll try to make a vignette or mount it on something.

Nice selection of AA guns!
Wish everybody happy modelling in this Campaign.
I've done some construction on my subject(8.8 cm. FlaK 18):

Overall impression- the kit is splendid!
Perfect fit and a lot of detail.
Lot of tiny-and I mean tiny-tiny parts.
Managed to win all encounters with the carpet monster
At least up to this moment...

Nun, sehr gut!
I'm starting to become a fan of AFV Models. It will become a cool model. I like. Why are two colors plastic?

Recht schönen Dank, Kalin!
No idea why AFV Club decided to use 2 different colours, but I remember seing same combination in their le.FH 18/40 kit.

Hi, Angel!
I am astonished at the pace of assembly.
I have a question: Can the Flak.18 be deployed in a combat position or is it positioned only in a transport situation? If the answer is "yes", would you show it off. Thanks.
From me: Success in painting. I look forward to the next stage.
Наздраве!

Thanks Kalin!
The gun cannot be transfered into firing position-both bogies were glued to the cruciform.
AFAIK, the Mk.18 was not intended to be fired on the move.
The kit can be built either in firing, or in transport position.
A conversion is possible, but was not feasible in my case- I had a strict deadline for finishing construction,

I'm in with this golden oldie....

I've probably overextended.. Am signed up for four campaigns, and recently missed the boat with the battle damage campaign. Ho hum...
But still maybe I'll get this one done!
I will post proper start-up pictures soon.
Cheers
