Hi Maarten - that is some seriously good work going on! Wow - very crisp - the poured in place concrete looks the part! The big size is nice too - it is a good canvas for the previous discussion on colors and textures. If you don't mind, maybe keep posting progress pictures of your color process - that will be really interesting to watch!
Keep building!
Cheers
Nick

Hi Nick,
Thanks for the nice coment,
i sure wil keep on posting on the painting progres.
Here are some pictures from a 1/35 Atlantikwall bunker i scratched build from plaster and painted a wile back,
I want to paint and weather the keroman III bunker in the same style
(just plain German concrete bunker look)
And paint / airbrush the camouflage colors over it
Stay tuned
Maarten.

I really like how you put the indentations made by the formers when the thing was being poured.

This is HUGE!
Maarten, what are your plans for displaying: attached to a base, just like it is?
Also do you plan on transporting this impressive piece to shows, etc., and if so, how?
I'm very interested in watching this one!

I will ad a base and a strip of atlantic ocean in front and inside the bunker.
I don't do shows(yet) but it's a very light weight, flip down the rear car seats down and it will fit if necessary.

Model is Completly primed ...
Next i would like to make the sheet piling from 0.2mm aluminium sheet.
But my Email contact with my Dutch model shop is a bit rough to say the least.
Added during the war by the germans.

Very nice, most impressive!
Apparently someone believes in the phrase " Go large or return to you dwelling"...
Idea for sheet piling:
https://www.amazon.com/Handi-Foil-Half-Size-Sheet-Cake/dp/B01JH4HTS0
Very common & inexpensive here, not sure of availability in the Netherlands.
I have used it for damaged fenders and tin roofs, worked well...

I think you captured the look very well. Nicely rusted.
There was a show from the BBC that covered the German UBoat bunkers. Very well done. It explained how the roofs were designed with doubled ceilings and baffles to dissipate the force of explosions. They worked well except of course, for the Grand Slam bombs. But even they only made a pretty small puncture.
This is a very cool project.

Primed with dark grey, and Basic rust colors applied.
Got hair dryer out to speed up the drying time
This how it looks after a few washes and brush speckling
It will be weathered more and it will get a nice crust of barnacles
