Most of the base colors are done..........next job wil be the roof and its fangrost support beams , steps at the rear of the FLAK tower.
The plan back than, was to repaint the complete bunker green .
(they never finished the job).

When i start weathering it won't be so nice and clean anymore

FANGROST:
Concrete beams to create a space just above the roof of the bunker,Any bombs that would hit the roof will detonate against these beams and hopefully will not penetrate the alredy 6 Meter plus roof.
On the lorient Keroman III bunker they were not finished so just the suport beams.

I watched a British made documentory about the U Boat pens and they covered the baffled roofs in detail. Very good program. The hardened assembly sites under construction at wars' end were really something.

And i began with the weathering with oils as you can see .
At some point in time there was a sunken ship/boat .
This is picture was taken After the war when the French navy took over the base .

Very very cool ! One of the most innovative and interesting dios I have ever seen !
The barge really sets things off very well and turns an already compelling build into something at the next level.
Nice.

I can see definitely blotches of camouflage paint, was the complete bunker painted in one overall color (oker/ yellow /) with patches of Green or other ? or patches over the bare concrete.
And what do you think about the darker upper parts wet because of rain ?
Any input on what you guys think on the Paint colors used
are appreciated.
Thanks
Maarten
Are you sure it is not a yellow mold growing on the concrete. When visiting the atlantic wall in Normandy several of the remaining bunkers are covered with it
The mission: Beat the stash.
Almost conquered: MIG-29, Blackhawk, Skyray, Skyraider, fouga
Main battle:Demon, Skyhawk, F-14, CH-53

Hi Maarten - this is looking great - the partially submerged barge is great for understanding the scale of the bunker. Your method for showing the barge is really convincing. The "understandable" scale/size of the barge really helps to grasp the proportion of the bunker - being partially submerged is cool too - the few non horizontal or vertical lines (relative to the bunker), and the shape of the bow add up to being noticeable and interesting, but not distracting or visually irrelevant. Lots of ways to more simply say again, this is looking great!
Cheers
