Thanks Dim! Alas it’ll be no-production until July

Hi Tim,

Dimitris' 'Hyperoroduction' makes it sound like something from the Gerry Anderson studios, ...that ages me, .

Looking forward to future reinstatement of your project.

Cheers, ,

Yeah still here, semi-buried under boxes. Apologies to Jerry & Glenn I missed the bottom of the previous page completely, thanks guys & sure enough let’s call it Modellers’ Law JR – although at least it’s not too late this time. However I’ve already had the premonition that one week after I’ve taken the final action photo set, there’ll be a post from the Czech Republic with some 1960’s colour photos showing the house was, in fact, pale blue.

Thanks G…although I thought “hyperoroduction” (sic) was actually the medical term for stress caused by annoying comments?

Dang there was a post here for a couple of days from a new Czech agent offering me a 20 Euro transfer from Prague airport into town, but it’s been deleted! Shucks, I guess I’ll just have to walk now

Had to be…

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pAgnJDJN4VA

…but a slow lead-in with endless honey-do’s & still shedding obsolete/useless stuff as we settle in so at least another 2 weeks before Anthropoid rolls again. Meanwhile one bonus of the move has been these display cases with mirrored backing I bought over 5 years ago & hallelujah finally they’re installed, instead of collecting an inch of dust in a draughty garage & you're the first to see'em…

Strapped tight on the car’s back seats for the ride yesterday & eventually wrestled into position in the new improved man-cave, all without removing the contents - definitely not for the faint-hearted (or intelligent) but only a couple of minor breakages & dislodgements detected. Regulars may recognize some of the usual suspects in there from previous projects (i.e. the ones I didn’t blow up) but they sure need re-distancing, the Brummbars seem to have got way too friendly in transit…

Yeah I know, don’t even think it. The Anthro bases also made it across intact today along with the trams/car etc & safely secured in a big-ass over-bonnet/hood storage box underground until the dust’s settled

Hi Tim,

That is some collection, glad it all survived the trek with little or no damage...guess driving more carefully and slowly gets easier as we get older, one advantage for you, .

That looks to be a serious bookshelf in the background, enough to hold a reasonable collection of research material... .

Looking forward to your Anthro build resuming soon.

Cheers, ,

p.s. shouldn't that be making Brummbabä(r)s Erwin, ?

Actually G I drove real fast on the principle that the less time in transit, the lower the risk of damage I thought Mike F or someone would come up with a good caption for the 2nd photo…best I can manage is ”No, no, not without a muzzle sleeve”

Good luck with the move. I hope all the hard work arrives at its new place safely.

In the meantime... I don't know if you've seen this recent video by Mark Felton already, and you probably know most of the content already, but it still might be somehow interesting for you

I just hope you are not one of the individuals referred to at 9:38

That was so interesting. I wonder what other pieces of hidden history are hiding in barns around Europe.

Uh-oh the natives are revolting! Looks like I’ll have to deploy some Testing before the Anthro-tram gets rolling again, sticking long cotton-buds up the nose for symptoms of Impatience 19 before you can re-board. Well my friend seeing as you asked, I finally did my back in rolling/dragging the last big-ass flower pots (palms) into position on the balcony today. Overall it was complicated, 4 separate removals over the past 3 weeks from 3 locations…whatever we are now Done & moving out of THIS place feet first, our 4th & hopefully final home within the past 3 years. But right now I need to recall that team of Venezuelan beauty queens to massage my lumbar area out of pain – schtum G

So with apologies I’ve still got zip to show for another week or two - other than one of the primary reasons (don’t tell my wife) for buying this apartment as mentioned back in April: a panoramic clear sky background for diorama photography…

Very nice view, I envy you on that. In Thailand the light goes out 6.45 PM, with a switch. Guess that's the reason they are not so romantic over here

OK a l’il less boogie & a lot mo’ bogie, all aboard for some trundling while I gradually reclaim hobby time from domestic priorities. Sit-rep: the foam & balsa house won’t be tidied up until it’s fixed onto its sub-base with surrounding garden, but first I need to install the big garden mainly to see how much the tree foliage will obscure the backdrops before I start painting those. After that will come the fencing down the long street, the photo-etched railings, street signage, some trials for the overhead lines/cables, and finally of course the 40 or 50 figures required for the narrative sequence of photos.

Photo refs don’t give much away regarding the garden layout…

…so I laid out the paths & flowerbeds based on the apparent position of the trees...

Up to maybe 9 trees (depending on their canopies) as marked up should fill the space plus some tall bushes etc in the beds round the wall & in the middle. I have to make the trees first before committing to drilling their anchoring positions into the base, they’ll need to be removable for any future packing/shipping as most are taller than the lamp-posts. So I went foraging in a nearby park yesterday and here’s the first of several audition line-ups…

I like Tim2’s Burma trees made of wire and haven’t excluded the possibility of copying his method, but some local trees offer interesting possibilities too…

The problem’s fragility so they’ll need a heavy spray of glue to hold them together, and more sprays while applying the layers of netting & leaves. The alternative to using dead/brittle stuff is this…

…vandalised from a live branch & still flexible although the trunk could be thicker. All these examples need trimming/shaping before attempting foliation, some might not make the final cut but at least there’s plenty of raw material. And there seem to be two pines in the middle of the cluster (see 2nd photo) which I haven’t found a good analogue for yet. Meanwhile there should be time for some landscaping this coming week

Nice to see you back on (tramway) track once more... What I see from the pics (specially the second), is that the park seems to contain both deciduous trees and pine trees...(the straight tall trees behind the hood and left of the car).

Hi Tim,

Welcome back to constructing your mammoth build, .

Interested to seeing how your garden grows...we'll be calling you Mary next you contrary fellow, ...as achieving realistic flora is something that I find daunting and have shied away from.

Cheers, ,
