I told you all it would be interesting to watch Angel fix this
I think I will wait and hope for another model, preferably styrene but resin will do as well.
Luckily the wheels and tyres seem to have the correct diameter.
The top of the rear wheel is halfway up to the top of the side of the load area.

Well, a set of drawings/dimensions would be most welcome.
But getting them is not realistic-I've checked hundreds of times and found nothing...
Or I can idle for the first month of the Campaign, hoping to be allowed close enough to the Steyr 440 in Lovech with my trustworthy ruler tape and goniometer
On a side note: I like Plus Model kits a lot and correcting some shortcomings is an added bonus-not a malus-for me.
Might even try to throw a blog(me dreaming), except you'll all need to learn Bulgarian English...
Anyway- thanks for opening my eyes, Robin!

Just realised there is another Steyr on the right side of the Steyr 440 in Lovech's Museum...
Steyr 640???
Catching the next open-to-public-day is a must!

Do not think about it! One more reason to get to the museum.

20 days left!
I have the Steyr 640 by PlusModel backordered, but I'm pretty sure it won't be delivered ontime for the start...So I'll leave it for "dessert"
My entry will be CustomFactory's ZIL-130(basic chassy).I plan to build a SKP-9MV out of it, with the box structure scratchbuild:

August 1st-the Campaign has started.
Job-related, I've been away from home for 2 weeks now and will be away for another one...
I'll present my "participant" next weekend.

Just a turret conversion, but I plan on adding some of my own resin parts. If the fenders from Shapeways are usable as masters I'll be casting them up. I have a lot of little things I made for the T-34 stored up that I'm remolding. So there will be a lot more resin added than shown if all goes well.

Intend to start my build this week-I missed some clear parts and the instruction in the supplied kit, but the guys from Custom Factory showed splendid service by sending everything they initialy omitted.
Kit is now complete, so no more excuses

So here is my starting picture:
First impressions from the kit:
-white resin that is joy for the eyes
-no casting blocks(except on transparent parts), so less cutting and trimming and resin dust flying around-THANK YOU Custom Factory
-one piece frame- it shows slight warping, but nothing irreparable.
-very good casting- no blemishes at first sight.
-transparent parts are bit opaque, so this is an area where Custom Factory might consider improvement.
-instruction is coloured, with list of parts(in Russian-not a problem for me),a sheet with parts numbers on a content picture(remember-there are no casting blocks)-identification shouldn't be tricky and several sheets of construction steps.
As I mentioned earlier today- I lacked the transparent parts and the instruction in the suppled box.I wrote to Custom Factory and received-besides appology- all what I missed within a week.Very good service!
Resin II Campaign starts for me!

Hello everyone,
Glad to hear that unfinished builds are qualified for this campaign as this is one of my projects that got shelved.
I am hoping I get to finish this for this campaign. I plan to build a model of an Egyptian PTS-M with a BS-3. I saw a completed one of this in 1/72nd scale built by Sergey Golikov. This is the one that inspired me.
And this is the photo that the modeler used as a reference.
Since I have started working on my model, this combination has now been featured on AK Interactive's book, "MIDDLE EAST WARS 1948-1973 VOL.1 PROFILE GUIDE". Here is a sample page from their book.
These are the ingredients for my recipe:
The Balaton Models PTS-M is the resin entry for this campaign
The ACE BS-3
A turned barrel for the BS-3 (I forgot which brand this is)
And an Armory detail set for the BS-3
Here are some WIP pictures of the PTS-M.
Here are pictures of the BS-3
And here they are together.
Thanks,
Joseph

Well, that's a lovely couple, Joseph!!!
And nice selection of goodies too!(BTW- the gun barrel producer is RB Models from Poland).
I am silently hoping, that one day some plastic kit company will release 1/35th PTS-M.
The reason:
1981 Military Parade in Sofia. The PTS-M's carry the successor of BS-3, the MT-12 Rapier AT Gun.
Looking forward to see your beauty finished!

Looking good Joseph.
Not ready to start yet as I am at the painting stage of two other builds (super detailing taking longer than I anticipated) but I now have a dilemma
I was planning on doing the Legend Productions 'IDF Puma APC' full resin kit,
but I am getting a 'M88A2 Conversion Set' part resin set for Father's Day (1st Sunday in Sept here in Oz) for a planned Aussie Hercules version.
decisions, decisions...
