Quick update: Got my knight together (more or less) and ready to start slapping some paint on him to try to bring him to life.

A little progress. The turret is almost done. I modified the insert I made up to use on the Dragon T-34's to fit the Academy hull. Still thinking on how to do the hull side fenders. The 3D print parts came out too warped.

Randall,that's a little, but nice progress.
You can do the side fenders from copper/brass sheet-not too difficult, but quite rewarding with all the dents and bends you can apply and T-34 naturaly develop...

Angel, I've used brass and plastic strips to make fenders, and brass does look the best. I wanted to make fenders I can cast in resin to use on several T-34's, however my efforts have been less than successful. I'll keep trying.

Thanks for the comments, guys. A base coat has been added and revealed a lot of casting lines - several hours of sanding later I am ready for a second base coat.

I found out my CustomFactory ZIL-130 lacks both front wheel hubs.
I contacted the producer and was promissed those to be sent, but received nothing sofar...

I built them from scratch, instead:

Added steering elements and braking boosts:


Now the ZIL has it's front wheels on:

My T-34 project looks a little tame compared to the other projects here!

But, moving along. After a try using a PE fender I decided to make up my own fender, ready to mold up. A few other things cast up ready to use.

That is going to need a lot of fine paintwork Jesper. I know you are quite capable of that. Looking forward to see what you plan for it.

Thank you. More progress. After casting up a couple useable fenders I added the reinforcing strips and will mold them up. I will trim the fenders to size for each model.

The late 1943 T-34s had a unique mount for the fuel tanks. I made one up years ago and found it in the box of T-34 masters I have. I cast up enough good ones to make a run of three for mass casting.

One last bit to make is the socket for the antenna, and the base pot. The kit parts have some mold seams.

Very cool work. Gotta love home casting.

Peter, home casting can be good and bad. I've been casting things for way too long!

Angel, it's easy to cast parts. The pain is deciding how to tree up the parts. I have a method that works for me, if you decide to try casting I can show how I do things.

I got a little side tracked on another campaign! Here's where I'm at. Fenders, radio pot, tank mounts and tow cable clips ready to install. I need to put on the vent grills and paint the underside of the hull of the grill holes.

So iv xhanged my plan from the vbl to a landrover by black dog 1/72 heres my starting pick.

Deadlines are fine. At work. But i've come to the realization that deadlines and hobbies don't work for me. It ends up looking to much like work and that's not what i want. Above all i want hobbies to be fun.

With that realization i've decided to stop all groupbuilds, campaigns etc. that i've started. Of course i'll keep watching the often amazing builds i see coming along in the campaign threads, i'll just not participate anymore.

And since i consider it somewhat rude to just drop out without notice... well, there's this notice

My 1/9 scale SEAL is progressing.
The rifle comes with two front end options,


Overall the molding on this kit is excellent, the only issue I have run in to so far is a few bubbles on the rifle, particularly the bottom of the magazine


Painted up the rifle looks decent. Still have some front end furniture, and laser device to add.


Have painted up the head and helmet and glued them together.

Goof.
I hear you and yes, eliminate the stress-it's not worth it.
I came to the same conclusion a few years ago and gave serious campaigning a break for a year or year and a half. I started again and decided if I don't finish a model it's no big deal. I can continue working on for my own enjoyment. That's what is all about in my opinion.

Question: At what percentage of "Unfinished" is acceptable?

I understand that this isn't "Unfinished Business 2018" Campaign where one completes an unfinished build, but I'm wondering if a partly-assembled and primed resin figure or entire kit would be acceptable. It's all gray right now and I just need to paint it.

If not, no worries, I can always start a kit from scratch if I do decide to join. Thanks for the answers.

Peter,to your question:
Rules & Regulations call finished a build, that is both built and painted.
Yours might be built and primed, but it is still not painted.
Thus it is an unfinished build and qualified for participation.
