Agreed...its my fave version of the Puma. I have the earlier release of the regular Puma. Guess I could upgrade that to a Batash config. But then knowing HB... they seem intent on giving Legend Productions a run for their money and may just come up with that too!

I may or may not get into the Monogram kit, time will tell. I have part of one DEF model upgrade, and one whole one, along with what I believe is a Commanders Models resin turret, also a possible. I have three Magach6 variants in progress now, all in paint at least, so I should be getting started soon.

I just enlisted for the IDF campaign. I've been thinking about that since Christmas, and now I finally decided to buy AFV Club's Centurion Sho't (Six Day War) in 1/35. I plan on displaying it next to my Egyptian IS-3M which I'm building for the current Trumpeter campaign, maybe I'll even add a small desert diorama sometime in the future. Recently watched a documentary about the Six Day War, had been really uninformed about the subject before and was not aware that such major tank battles took place in the Sinai.

Anyways, you all have interesting subjects so far.

Here's the latest on my entry, MiniArt's Tiran 4 interior kit. I have completed the build phase of the hull interior. This will be ready for primer application. Lots of work just for this phase and still a lot to go through. Especially for hull exterior plus turret interior/exterior!

Thanks Sean! So glad to hear feedback on my blog. Yes, the picture shows the Tiran as dry-fitted. I will be breaking it down for the detail painting. I'll see if I can post pictures of my process on my blog.

Count me in! I have a build ongoing for the Tank Destroyers campaign, but I bought a cheap M51 from Academy recently and I'm planning to enter that for this GB

I finished the two Magach 6 builds I had going, so I started the hull of my project today.

I'm actually using an Academy kit, the old clone of the Tamiya kit, only because I snagged one last weekend at Model Fiesta for $10, didn't want to hack up one of the Tamiya kits I have. And hacking I am, gleefully. I still need to commit to an exact tank, will have to do that soon.

Well, I was reminded that all the M48A3's got the 105mm gun, and the IDF didn't have any until after the 6 Day War, and since I really wanted to do one with the 90mm gun, 6 Day War period, I pulled out the Monogram kit, thinking I might use the hull to get the correct engine grills... that lasted about two minutes. The old Monogram kit would take LOTS of work to be anything other than toy-like, not that the Tamiya kit is any shining example of accuracy, so I went another way: I cut out the grills on both hulls and grafted in the Monogram parts (mostly) and will build a Magach2C. I also cut off the second and fourth return roller mounts while I was there.

Don't look too closely, it was a rough job, and I'll also be scratching a large hunk of the fenders as well. Oh well, that's modeling, and I've almost got enough parts to do an actual Magach 3 later.

Lots of joy filling motorization holes, how quickly we get spoiled by modern kits.... I'm adding some bolt heads to the suspension mounts too, more for visual interest than anything else, and have got the final drives (Dragon) on, along with Tamiya drive sprockets, mud holes added. I've filled a few of the large location holes on the rear hull plate as well, as I plan on using some nicer parts here. The unfilled holes are for parts that I can use "welds" to fill.

Same thing on the front, filling big holes in preparation for fitting nicer detail parts from other (modern) kits.
Call it crazy, but I love this.

Edit: Looking at my pic of the rear, I realize I've installed the final drives switched, putting the drain and fill plugs too high, no prob though, I planned on making them a little more prominent anyway.
