Love the final rendition Russel. Looks fantastic. Very nice addition to your collection.
These little touches like blanking voids make all the difference Olivier.

I'll change my build to this:

Just didn't find AFV Club's Sho't Kal Gimel inspiring enough.

I applied a basic paint to the lower hull and definitely glued the side skirts. Then I've added a number of details on the upper hull.

Thanks all. I'm thinking a Magach 3 from the YKW period would be good now, as soon as I get to the painting stages on the two others ( a Magach6 w/dozer and a 7C ) that are on the bench now....
Re stowage: a lot of earlier IDF personal equipment was of US origin, so I rob other sets regularly. Two of the pieces on this one are DEF, two of unknown origin. And I agree, there's not a whole lot to choose from out there, part of why I use a lot of covered stowage racks on my IDF builds.

The bar armor panels are all cleaned and will be painted separately as the doghouse which not glued yet. I've mounted the masts at the back of the vehicle but I'm still not decided about adding the antenna which is very fragile.

Coming along nicely, Olivier. Are the AFV tracks a good fit?

Thank you Israel. The AFV Club tracks are spot on. They perfectly fit around the sprockets. I glued them with some CA glue and secure the bonding with two staples hidden under the side skirts.

Here is my Nagmachon ready for the weathering. The base color has been sprayed then I applied some highlights and secured the paint with a coat of Klir before I start the weathering. In between I'll paint the various details which need it (grab handles, headlights, MAG barrels ...)

Thank you Peter. It's still a long way before I cross the finish line. I should start the weathering this afternoon if the weather is not too hot for working with oils. Installing the last grilles will be a pleasure for sure

Excellent choice Stephen. I have contemplated buying the kit, so I'll be watching your build closely.

The same with a bit of dust.

The antenna is not fully painted and of course not weathered yet.

Olivier, that looks amazing. As a piece of kit, it's positively medieval, I love it!

OK, I know I said I was planning to build that Dauphin helicopter, and I really ought to be doing it. But damn it, I wanna build a tank!
So, I'm asking for a bit of advice. I'm normally a wingey-thingey guy, but I have a couple of crawlies under my belt and I've been doing this modelling thing for a good long while. I'd like to do a Merkava and I have a few, but from the experienced group here, which would be more difficult: the Takom IIB or the Meng 3D early? I can't decide which one to go for and I don't want to bite off more than I can chew.
