I'm in!
Does it have to be an ambulance or coul it be something like a medic with a wounded soldier, or maybe a few soldiers with an injured soldier trying to patch things up?

I think this should be allowed. This way it brings all the groups togeather in one build.
Hmmm maybe one of the ship people could do a hospital ship? hmmmmmmm :-)

Bloody good thinkin' 'Roo (who said people from Oz can only Bar-B-Que?).
Maybe we could tempt some of the folks from the Sci-Fi side into it as well?
A Statr Trek based medical frigate?
A kit-bashed Hospital ship from the 'rag-tag' fleet of Battlestar Galactica?
A Star Wars figure in a Bacta tank?
.............just a thought.

Guys
I've been giving some thought to the rules on this one and I'm going to keep things simple.
Basically anything to do with the Red Cross but preferably with a Military theme, Scenes from M.A.S.H,casevac,both helo's and aircraft, Hospital Ships, Ambulances etc.
Also Dios of medics attending to wounded troops,Figures and busts of medical personnel.
Any scale and any era.Start date 06/01/05 end 09/30/05. There will be a ribbon for those who complete their project and the entry judged to be best will get a red cross for their profile.

Peter,
Sounds good to me, count me in. I'm thinking about the soft back Humvee ambulance we have down on the ramp and that MIG conversion..., maybe something WWII Pacific also.

Capitol suggestion and I give you two thumbs up!
As for 'Tread's thread - I've iterated the same sentiments for too long now and all I fear it has gotten me is surly attitude(s) and made more dissenters than friends. Life is too short for all that and today I'm really disappointed in some attitudes - but I'll always encourage the members here to get together and have fun with the Campaign(s).
Yes - there are too many going on...
But - what the Hell - I have too many models in progress too - and it hasn't hurt my enjoyment of the hobby...
My only cautioning words at this time echo what 'Tread pointed out - not everyone is going to be able to cross the finish line. Everyone who signs on gets out the gate with all the best intents in the world - but there's this thing called Life that often changes priorities in mid stream. No one is immune to the effects of Life.
Therefore, I always advocate the Campaign Leader have the ability to award the Medal/Ribbon on a one-on-one basis to account for such things. Jim already built this ability into the Campaign Module, and you can bestow awards after the close date.
There is no need to change the Campaign Page with start and stop dates once Jim creates it - just update the Thread for the members and administrate it from there.
I think this is a cool idea - and I'm looking forward to seeing the entries. I haven't modeled a medical vehicle in a long time too...

Folks
I may be getting a bit ahead of myself here, but if this campaign is going to get off the ground then we need to sort out a name for it.
So far we have two suggestions
"Forgotten Heroes" by Lestweforget
"Blood and Guts" by MRRoo

I think the name "Forgotten Heroes" sounds good, to me "Blood and Guts" sounds too similar to the Engineering campaign.
By the way, can we start early? :-) There are more than 7 months before the start of the campaign, but I just realized I have the BTR-152K, which I will be doing as an ambulance.
If not, I will probaby come up with something different, although I can't be sure right now - I am already enlisted in 4 campaigns.
A common misconseption, I currently live in US but was born and lived in Ukraine for 12 years

Are suggestions still being taken for the name of this campaign? A quick one I just thought of...."Guardian Angels" or maybe "Angels on the Battlefield"....I'll try to come up with a few others...just brainstorming right now...

If this campaigns starts mid 2005, I'll join. Before that, I don't think I'll have time....
Maybe a Kubel with the dragon conversion kit will be my entry....or a dodge ambulance
hmm campaign name......maybe just "Medic!" ?

Guys.
Personally I favour either "Forgotten Heroes" or "Angels of Mercy" for this campaign, but I'm hanging fire til I see what else appears.

I'm with Tread on this one. I was one for 23 years and I don't remember any of us being Angels.
To grease our ego's, we liked it when the guys called us Doc. But when someone was "in deep S***" MEDIC! about said it all.
