Great job on the dio.........love the modified figures and the broken wall.

Hj figure is brilliant. Is it scratch built and what is the scale?
well done fellow Berliners.
I haven't had a chance to work on my second dio of a buried Panther bunker, so I do apologise. My street turret will have to be enough.

Pat that looks excellent! Love the two levels. Really adds depth to it. I'll submit my finished pics later today. I've decided against the buildings at the end of the street as it closes it down too much and it loses some of the dramatic effect. Paul where do you want me to put the finished pics?

Thanks Martin and Ian.
The figure is 1/16 Hitler Youth from Warriors. Great figure except the left hand is kinda large..

I would have liked to a dio for this great build too but ran out of time.

Hey Berliners!!

I'm back after laying down having the flue and not be able to do anything but sleep, sleep, sleep.

It's good to see all these nice projects and builds!
Some real nice entries; makes me happy to run this campaign!!

Well, today is the deadline...
For those finished in time: WELL DONE!

But form both Russian and German troops I recieve some messages asking for some bit extra time.
Actually, I'm happy about it, because this gives me an excuse to extend the campaign with 1 week !

(Hehehe... I was allready afraid I was not gonna finish in time -having the flue and so-, and that beeing the campaignleader myself... uhuh... So I'm happy with this excuse!!!!!)

But serious people, PLEASE TAKE YOUR TIME! Bether a nice finished model than rushing a model for the deadline! (It's not a race, ya know!)

Paul

PS: Ribbons comming up soon!!!!!

Do you really think I can finish a diorama in one week? That is 1 week minus the days I've got to go to school, my job etc etc.

No, sorry. Not gonna make it this time!

However I did finish something Berlin related....

Finished reading the book this evening Paul is this also considered as entry for the campaign? :-)

Well I've finally got around to taking pics of the finished dio. It's a nightmare trying to choose which ones to stick in the campaign gallery as it's all so interlinked as the focus is on the figures rather than vehicles/ artillery as the essence of urban combat is on the infantryman rather than tanks. I've put a load in my gallery which hopefully captures the essence of FIBUA. I'll stick a few on here. I'm reasonably pleased with it but have noticed a few bits I'm not happy with. You tend not to notice them till you take some pics then you see the smallest things. Oh well! Finished but I can always tweak it. Just got to work out what to do with it now!!!! :-)

Paul, you may want to have a dig through and see which ones you want to put in the campaign gallery as (a) I'm not sure how to do it and (b) I can't choose....lol...Nice to know you've got over the flu. I had it for two weeks and was convinced I was dying. Fortunately I survived thanks to Carlsberg and paint fumes :-)-><

Well I can tell you all I did continue on building my diorama. I'll start a new thread in dioramas soon so you can follow my progress.

I finished the streets though, now it's time for the building!

Wow Karl that's a big dio. Lots going on, very dynamic.
I'm done also. Not entirely happy with the result and have resolved to work on my figure technique.

Pat, the dio looks excellent. Don't stress about it...lol...The thing I love about it is the multi levels. You have to look at it harder due to that as there is more than one thing to focus on. You can look at the POW's or the vehicles? Then when you look at it after a glimpse you have to look at each level individually. It draws you in which to me is what a dio should do. If it catches more than a glimpse it goes to interesting to fascinating to "I wish I could do that". I'd say yours falls into the latter. It's a work of art mate. Be proud of it.

Paul, thanks for a top campaign. My first one and I thoroughly enjoyed working to the deadline. Just waiting for my campaign submission to come back now as I've had 6 months of building Germans ( having said that I do enjoy building Germans) and I want to build British troops now. Top project mate!

Thank you all for participating in this campaign!
There are all great entries and I enjoyed leading the campaign! I'l make a sort of "Parade" tomorrow (i'm mailing this at my work right now).
Also the ribbons will be handed out this week.

Unfortunatly... I myself didn't get to the finnish line...

I could "rush" the dio, but I don't like that. I have to take my time for it otherwise it's rushed work.
I also could extend the campaign for as long as I need, but that looks like I'm a corrupt campaign leader
(however, that would be the Sowjet style....)

But no... I'll be fair. I don't get my ribbon (and I liked it so much!)
But no complains; it was great to run this campaign.

I've added a couple of pics to my "Berlin Dio finished" thread as others wanted to see the size of it. Next time I'm building something smaller as it's a nightmare to move about... :-)
