Well you know what they say 'STUFF HAPPENS'
I bought the MiniHobbyModels M60A3 for this campaign What a disaster.
Nothing fits. Instructions are plainly wrong or missing (badly printed I suppose). So I have ditched this rubbish to the spare parts bin.I
Trust me, I have tried to make it work but
So I have just purchased an Italeri M47 which has a great write up at PMM. So I hope it will arrive real soon so I can get started.
I will update when I can.
Have fun.

Just to show that I have not been AWOL. Still some thouch ups and detailing to do, but I think I will get my Norwegian M-48A5 ready for the end of the campaign.

Looks great Erick, like the way you did the camo, it´s made free hand or airbrushed? And what markings it´s going to have your M48?
Cheers

Thanks Klaus
The camo is made with an airbrush and masking tape. Norwegian camo consists of 4 colors: two types of green and brown and black. The vehicle I used as an example is here . It is parked right outside my office so it makes an excellent referance
About markings: I think this picture explains it
Cheers

A little update. The ultimate end for many outdated tanks.
I still need a slight rust over spray. Those are simulated bird droppings(the white stuff).

Done! Here is the Ertl/Italeri M60A1 "Aphrodisia" I just built for a commision I got while in the middle of this campaign...nothing like killing two birds with one stone! :-)
It is pretty much OOB, but the Xenon searchlight is from a Tamiya M60 kit and the mounting it went on is a modified Academy M60 piece. Power cable is from the spares box. Stowage is also from the spares box.
All markings were custom made, per request, from a variety of spares box pieces. Making white markings is nearly impossible and was probably the hardest part of this build.
Base is a simple wood plaque with plastic sheet as the base, textured paint used to simulate sand/gravel, various washes/drybrushing, and some static grass to break it up a bit. Cases and Ammo are from Tamiya.
Overall a fun build... all the usual kit fit problems, but nothing major. Now, off to my next campaign...(whoosh) :-)

I'm joining in, right at the end, but I think I can make it since it will be an OOB build. I acquired an M60A1 with the RISE passive armour.

Hi All, I'm about 60-70% finished at this time. I have the turret finished, and beginning on the upper hull.

Thanks, Jim. If you can see it, I backdated the drivers hatch to the old IR type.
I did see, but didn't wanna say anything for fear of sounding like a smart-arse!

Well, the unglorious end to old Pattons,as range targets. The main build is done,I will be using the lower part of an IMEX display case to do the dio base.it will be a dirt base, and a slight berm rising behind the tank.

Whoa Carl! I like it, especially the chunked road wheels, but am kinda sad too. I've always hated to see range targets and Gate Guards (planes on sticks)...
Must be the dork in me...
