This is going to be my entry: the sherman III. It's the dragon kit build OOTB but i'm going to use archer and verlinden dry decals.

I want to make a different vehical then "barfort st martin", "The old bell", "corston" ( the kits decals), does anyone know other nicknames of other squadrons?
Patrick

Hi Patrick,
Ecelon print a set of decals for the Royal Wiltshire Yeomanary http://pachome1.pacific.net.sg/~kriegsketten/ALT352002.htm which should give you some further names and details for alternate vehicles to the ones in the Dragon kit; eg: Pembroke Arms, Swindon etc.

Like the VW David, it has personality.

At times I did not think I would get done with this one before the official end of the campaign, but I managed to get it all done. I have a 2-pounder gun from Hinchcliffe ( I think), but it seems to have slipped thru the cracks for the moment. Oh well, anyway here is my entry, the old Italeri kit of the British Gun Portee. Thanks for hosting the campaign, it was an enjoyable build.

Brent, I hate you man. In the time it takes me to complete a single model tank, you are completing a model army! And you do it in style.

I am really jealous... They look so cool already.

This is my entry, the Sherman III. It's the dragon kit OOB with archer dry transfers and a homemade nickname. The camo is handpainted.

Hi all.
Not very often I visit this side of the Kitmaker network. My normal haunt is Aeroscale, but this campaign caught my eye and I thought Id join in as it has given me chance to build something from the old Airfix RAF Refuelling Set thats been sitting my stash for ages.
It makes a nice change to build something without wings
Heres my finished entry for "The Best Of The British". An A.E.C Matador fuel tanker.

A fun little OOB build

Finally, I managed to complete my Quad Tractor in 1/35 scale from Tamiya. It's an oldskool Tamiya kit, easy to assemble but could benefit from better details. It is one of the few remaining old Tamiya kits I own, I intend to complete these and make way for current kits.

Here are the pics...

What immediately catches the eye is the front bender. It hasn't been properly weathered because I am both unskilled and clumsy. I broke the fender while I was weathering the vehicle, tried to superglue it back into place... only to discover that the superglue was intent on gluing my fingers together rather than the piece. Then I went mad and threw away the fender and went on. As a result, it still looks like a toy. My bad.

Would benefit from some corrections but I don't feel like it.

Really nice model... don't bash yourself! I know how you feel about the fender. (Don't ask.) Maybe in a few weeks time you'll be able to bring yourself to fix it

(You know some of these older kits sometimes appeal to me more than the newer ones. The boxarts are somehow more attractive -although less professional-, and the subjects are very good. As the kitmakers get more and more professional, the choices of subjects are getting smaller and smaller. In the 70s Tamiya did dare to make other vehicles, than Tigers, StuGs and Jeeps. I wish more of these unique, strange-looking vehicles were issued, or re-issued. They can even put a swastika on them to make them sell...)

Don't we have a back-up leader?

It can't be that hard. What do you need to do?

(I hope the original leader is OK.)

Hi everyone! I'm excited to actually complete a campaign! I would like to have built this a bit better...but I am moving in a day or 2 so I had to wrap it up. Two Questions if I can ask...

First, do I have the markings correct? Is there a good reference on identifying British vehicles? They seem REALLY confusing.
Eventually I want to put this into a diorama representing the 141st Regt. RAC (Royal Armored Corps). They served within the 79th AD and were supported by the 1st Rifle Regt. in an attack on St. Joost in late 1944/early '45.

Second, please give me comments on how to make this better before it goes into the diorama. I have thick skin...I just want to make it as good as it can get. Thanks!

I have a Churchill too.
Too bad it looks worse on photo than in real life...
(And this new armorama layout is confusing.)

I think we should focus on locating our campaign leader. If that fails, we should choose a back-up leader. Considering there's like 4 days left before the campaign ends, we should definitely do something. Too many great builds here, let's respect the effort. Plus the fact that some people might need extensions and there's no one to settle that matter if our campaign leader is MIA.
