Just posted on Dragon's Website -first images of DRA 9059 the Jagdpanzer IV

Yesterday, after having posted the news of DML's provisional list of releases for 2005, I honestly wasn't expecting any more news for a few days....

Via various sources and forums (P.M.M.S. and Track-LinK) We are now able to bring a PROVISIONAL list of Dragon's new releases for 2005... Particular mention should be made of Saul Garcia's original informations....

DMLhas announced a new Jadgpaner IV A-O in 1/35 for a Febuary 2005 release. This kit will have a MSRP of $37.95 USD.

Announced several weeks ago and now updated, this new kit is guaranteed to cause a great deal of excitement amongst the German Armor Modellers. It may well cause interest amongst all armor modellers as if this is the technical level that DML are reaching with this kit, just what can they reach with future releases?

1/35 Sd.Kfz. 251/21 Ausf. D Schutzenpanzerwagen - Drilling MG 151 w/Bonus Features
The SdKfz 251/21, also known as the Mittlerer Schutzenpanzerwagen - Drilling MG 151,it was a very effective anti-aircraft version of the SdKfz 251 halftrack. Mounting three excellent 15mm MG 151/15 or 20mm MG 151/20 machine guns on a compact pedestal behind a small armored shield, these modified SdKfz251 halftracks could provide very effective defensive fire against the Allied aircraft and ground targets as well.

There are two new Dragon releases this week - both armor related and both previously announced however, up until now, no images were available....

When Dragon Models Ltd. unveiled their new releases at the Tokyo Hobby Show a week or two ago, there were only a few images and even less detail available. Now we are able to bring you some details of two of the new releases....

Dragon is releasing a few more figure sets. At the recent Hobby show in Japan
they also announced the Tiger will be the (first production) type - used at Leningrad.

Curve balls sometimes arrive, (being the nature of the beast) when one least expects them. No more so, than this 1/35th Scale release from Dragon Models Limited (DML) . Recently, we had an M4a2 from Academy Also in Soviet Markings....

When Dragon Models Limited (DML) announced their 'three in one' kit, it was obvious that something special was on the way... We are now able to offer the first images of the new kit...

Dragon Models tend to announce their new releases in 'dribs and drabs, normally we get one or perhaps two new releases, this time we are getting no less than FIVE new releases - 3 in 1/72nd Scale and 3 (or should that be five.?) in 1/35th scale....

Dragon (DML) released four new 1/144 kits, or actually kit sets, as each of released sets lets you build two models.

Dragon Models Limited (DML) added new modern armor model to their 1/72 series: British Challenger 2 tank in KFOR markings. The kit catalogue number is 7222.

Mission Models and Chris Mrosko of VLS are both reporting that Dragon/DML is going to re-release the M4A1 "early" Sherman in September. This is good news for Shermaholics and bad news for kit collectors who have been paying premium prices for this rare kit.

Dragon has just re-released thir 60cm Moerser "Karl" kit, but this time they added "X" to the kit number, making it 6179X. Of course they also changed the contents of the kit.

Dragon continues to enlarge their offer of 1/72 armor kits. They release both modern and WW2 subjects in this line.

Dragon's new King Tiger should be available now, however, not many images have been seen of this new kit...

Another new Dragon release this month is in more conventional scale: 1/72, but AFAIK is a subject not yet available in this scale. It is USMC AAV7A1 also known as Amtrac. Kit number is 7221.

Oh no! I hear you cry, not another Rail Gun!.. Well yes and no... This is somewhat different...

Two more recent releases by Dragon both with some very attractive possibilities for the armor or diorama builder....

Along with the images of Dragon's SAS figures, I have also managed to track down some photos of their new PZ1 in 1/35th scale.

Dragon Models' website is showing pictures of a an interesting new kit - The Ambulance version of the ubiquitious Kubelwagen...

Today, totally unsolicited, I received a copy of the new Dragon Catalog. Many of the products have been already announced, others may come as as pleasant surprise...

Dragon in 2004 seems to be making a strong bid for the re-awakening 1/72nd market.

As this list has been circulating on other sources although not compiled for Armorama, I'm drawing this together according to nationality in 1/35th. For the Allied modellers it looks as if we are finally going to get a decent bite of the cake.....
