Master Box has sent Armorama news of a new figure set in the works called "British and German soldiers, Somme Battle, 1916".
It is great to see figures in the works covering The Great War and it is Master Box that is taking the bold step into this period of history. Depicting I believe four German prisoners with two Commonwealth soldiers as guards with one of the Germans being carried by his comrades. Could this be the point where manufacturers start taking a serious look at World War One and possibly start releasing war materials from this war?

No more rat infested trenches, no more barrages, no more gas, no more disease and machine guns. I'd be happy Pat!

And again it is MB Ltd which goes off well known tracks. Great to see that these Ukranians do have an eye for new subjets and moments in military history. Thanks, MB, looking forward to see your next item.

Hi folks, Having let the initial excitement settle, a couple of things. I do hope they include the combined bayonet and shaft, one with the bayonet handle in and the other showing the scabbard empty. Also noted in the pictures are the missing curved mess tins carried on the back of the large pack. The only other observation would be to switch the shoulder on which one of the slung rifles is carrier, creating a little more variety between the two guards. I'll look forward to seeing seeing these on the market. Al

I was just looking at the photos again in light of having bought the Vickers MG team and how small the helmets are in that even for WW2 issue. I do hope they revisit the helmets and make them bigger
