Evolution Miniatures released two new set of 1/35 figures, both depicting Allied soldiers from WWII.
EM-35135 - Soviet Soldiers at Rest (Dancing)

EM-35136 - British Infantry, North Africa 1941-1943

All the figures are sculpted by Sergey Traviansky in 1/35 scale. The first set is a continuation of Soviet soldiers at rest theme, depicting soldiers dancing and enjoying their time off the frontline. The second set opens a new theme for Evolution Miniatures, with hopefully more Brits in the pipeline.

I enjoy these reactions to Ulises' useless comments on Armorama. Something from Wikepedia: The show was inspired by and loosely modelled on the New Zealand/British/Rhodesian Long Range Desert Group, which used modified trucks armed with machine guns as their transport through the treacherous desert terrain, and Popski's Private Army. Consequently, at the time of the original telecast many British viewers took offense at the dominance of American characters on the program, the result being that the show was pulled from the BBC after six episodes. Of course, it was a pure TV rubbish. Ulises, is it possible for you to stop making these uselss comments on almost every new model release? Please.

Off topic notes for film buffs: The movie Play Dirty with Michael Caine had a much better depiction of the LRDG without a jeep in sight. Though it too has a lot of Hollywood artistic license. The remake of Sahara with Jim Belushi has the restored Australian LRDG vehicles appear in the final scene . Probably the only reasonably accurate depiction of them on film. The Rat Patrol was totally silly. It's only fitting that the actor who played the German officer gained greater fame playing in a soap opera on US tv.

Try "Sea of Sand" if you want something like an accurate depiction of LRDG. Dickie Attenborough as the barrack room lawyer RTR driver.

I thought from the headline that the British Infantry were dancing WITH the Russians.I was trying to think about when that happened.

TONY- YOU NAILED IT!!! Of course, there WAS some dancing going on between US Troops, Brits, and Russians when they met on the demarcation lines just before the surrender, but I'm pretty sure not with Tommies in the Africa-style Tropical Uniforms!

Evolution did a wonderful job on these 2 figure sets. The uniform creases look pretty good. The Brits will fit nicely into a dio scene. All the Russians need is the band Thanks Michael
